Boy, it would be pretty amazing if he said

"you know, I have so much endorsement money, I just want to extend my career in my 30s by playing a facilitating PF non leading scorer role on a perennial title contender for the MLE."

I'd be more than fine with that.
except he has advocated for the max to be abolished, has publicly said he wants to get paid MORE than the max  not less, petitioned for curry to be paid $400 million, and probably wanted to get paid to play for the olympics

He isn't coming. Its a delusional pipedream

I wouldn't want him on my team no matter how much of a discount he'd be willing to take.

Lebron would fit better on a team of unselfish players .  the pecking order would be decided up front.  Lebron is king ...no doubt ...least for anothe 2-3 years. anyway.

Lebron , Harden , Wesrbrook as a group won't work.

I wouldn't rule out ANYTHING for our Celtics.

As much as I've despised him from a competitive standpoint I'd welcome him to BOS every day (and TWICE on Sundays).

Dude is a WINNER. Hate him if you want to but he's been the best the game has had to offer over the last few years.

We'd LOVE him in BOS. He seems thoughtful and I'd think that those banners and the tradition here would have the same effect on him as anyone else.

Look, if SHAQ could come to BOS and have an impact then why not LeBron James? Boy that 2011 BOS team was AWESOME

Not Shaq's fault he couldn't stay healthy but when he was we were dominant.

LeBron - in a couple of years and playing PF? I could see him in BOS. Why not? Bottom line is that GSW is the ultimate enemy right now.

If LeBron  / CLE can't beat him this year you're not telling me that he wouldn't consider BOSTON if he thought that WE were the only team constructed to defeat GSW - if we added him.

Who knows? We match up pretty well with GSW "RIGHT NOW". Our only immediate issue is getting past CLE. But BOTH of our goals is to beat GSW. Whose to say that LeBron's / BOS's paths couldn't cross in the future?

I agree with those saying We want to beat him. Like bird said when the heat formed the big 3... "I wanted to beat the lakers not join them"

We hear you bird. We do too. The enemy this time is lebron as well as the warriors.

Lebron plays in a weak east.. He is less a winner and more a Fortunate teammate.. See Ray Allen and Dwade)

He is not Clutch, not even close to Clutch. His finals record should be all the proof you need of this.

He wants to be considered the goat but wants to recruit an allstar team to help him get there. Meaning unless we have at least 3 top 5 players in the league on our team he would have Zero interest.

In other words he would Try to form another Super team in the East before joining us.  He is that new breed of Champion.. The NBA2K type.

Our Culture would mean nothing to him... LEbron is about Lebron

I would not want this guy on the team - I want to beat this guy... Everyday and Twice on Sundays.

Lebron will not be a Celtic while he is still a top 5 player in the NBA.  I won't rule out a late 30s stint a la Shaq, but he's not coming here while he's the man.

I honestly see Philly, New Orleans, LAL and others all as potential destinations before us.

Lebron is just another Celtic HOFer if he joins us.  That's not what he's looking for.  Yes, you may be able to say something close to similar about the Lakers, but the Lakers have Hollywood/weather/glitz that we don't.
