No need to trade one of Smart/Crowder/Bradley in order to sign Hayward

So everyone seem to be missing this critical piece of information so its being reported everywhere that the deal for Hayward is for 4 years and $128 Million. 

Per the CBA the max deal for Hayward would be 30% of the cap and then 8% raises every year after so if we work that out .30 * $99,093,000 = $29,727,900 for year 1.  Year 2 would be $29,727,900*1.08= $32,106,132. Year 3 would be $32,106,132*1.08 = 34,674,623.   And finally Year 4 would be 34,674,623*1.08= $37,448,593 so the breakdown is:

Year 1 = $29,727,900
Year 2 = $32,106,132
Year 3 = $34,674,623
Year 4 = $37,448,593
Total = $133,957,248

So to me that means Hayward is taking a little less than max I did the numbers in reverse and came up with $28,500,000 for Year 1. Year 2 would be $28,500,000*1.08= $30,780,000.  Year 3 would be $30,780,000*1.08=$33,242,400. Year 4 would be $33,242,400*1.08=$35,901,792 so the breakdown is:

Year 1 = $28,500,000
Year 2 = $30,780,000
Year 3 = $33,242,400
Year 4 = $35,901,792
Total = $128,424,192

So it looks like Hayward is taking a little less than the max around $28,500,000 so if that is the case we wont need to trade any of smart/bradley/crowder!!!!

So the most we could offer Hayward without trading smart/bradley/crowder would be $29,444,534 and over the 4 years that's a difference of $1,221,343 ($128,130,964-$126,909,621) and we all assume that Hayward will opt out of the 4th year so then its only a difference of $893,311 do you think Hayward would take $300k less per year to keep all of the role player together???

I would prefer to trade Crowder and see what Jaylen can do this year. Keeping one of those three wont be the difference between beating Cleveland and not, so lets not tie up our minutes. Also we aren't keeping both smart and Bradley anyway. And anyway jettisoning smart for instance would allow us to bring over Yabuselle, keep Rozier and maybe even bring back Jackson or Mickey for depth. It just seems to be the logical move.

Realistically the truth is Avery Bradley is gone after this year. I can't see how they'll be able to sign him, and IT next year.  I'd rather get something or him now than nothing later.

I really hate loosing any of the above players, but if I had to make a decision Crowder should go or the playing time of the rookies will be really stifled. And both have higher ceilings the Jae.

I know some of you see Smart as as a guy we could do without, but Smart for me is a tone setter, a warrior, he can play the 1,2, and 3, never complains, and he still comes cheap. 

Honestly, this is not easy...you get attached to these guys.

I totally get where your coming from in terms of minutes, but I was thinking about the trade value.  At least 1 of the three if not 2 are going to have to go to make room for the young guns to develop.  What I was trying to get at and I failed miserably at is that if Hayward takes just 1% less we go from looking to trade from a position of weakness to a position of strength.  Every team now knows that we MUST trade 1 of these players and teams will try to low ball DA knowing that we have to clear the space but if we can manage to keep everyone under the cap that means that we can ultimately wait teams out and get better return especially for crowder who I think is the odd man out personally.
