FAB MELO IS COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

 ;D

fab melo is dead
So you are saying the Celtics could get him for the minimum?

Shame on you. This is disgusting.
really, that's bad karma for him, really inappropriate and untasty

One of the very few things Trump is right about is we are becoming WAY to PC. Sometimes you just have to laugh and enjoy life. It's called humor.

Fab Melo died less than 6 months ago. It has nothing to do with being PC. It has everything to do with showing a modicum of respect.
That's what I'm saying some people deal with sadness with solemness ad respect and some make inappropriate jokes perhaps too early..You do tvget to decide which of those is correct
Yes, I'm sure Random Blog Dude #23457839 was just dealing with his sadness and not just making a disrespectful "joke".

I would offer Gasol the room exception and start him but limit his minutes. Not sure he would take $4.3 million per year though.

Article from a few years ago about the promise of Daniel Theis. Description of him seems to fulfill our power forward needs. Seems like a great fit next to Al Horford.

TP for posting that article

Jared Sullinger is available. We can pay him in cheeseburgers.

Ainge can give him his Chipotle card.

Pretty sure Big Baby stole it years ago.

So that's the real reason their stock went down...

Gasol played for $15 million with the Spurs last season. Doubt he can be had for 4.

There is no chance on God's green Earth he takes that.

I'm starting to be in the crowd that it's time to overpay (in trade) for Vucevic. Man I wish Danny traded for Nurkic last season. He would be a great fit and is on a salary we can afford right now.

[dang]. Too bad about Gasol. Can we still trade for Nurkic after we sign Hayward? I don't see why not.

Maybe Ilyasova can be had for some exception?

Good shooter and underrated rebounder (no rim protector though)

Yeah, AB and Crowder for Vuc would make it possible to sign Hayward while keeping Smart and Rozier. Not exactly awesome, but I would probably do it seeing as he fits a position of need and is signed for another year after this one.

If Orlando isn't interested in AB or Crowder, bring in a 3rd (or 4th) team to take them for picks or other assets to send back to Orlando.

I am also all aboard the AB for Skal, WCS, Chriss, or even Okafor train since they are all on rookie contracts with multiple years left. If we aren't going to be able to retain AB after this year, we should at least get something of value/need for him now.

I mentioned earlier that kicking the tires on Sully might be smart. He might be willing to take a bargain 'get me back in the NBA to prove what i'm worth' type contract.

Go sign Jerebko for now. Has anyone forgot the record with Horford and JJ?

I would rather hold onto AB for now.

I vote for Thomas Robinson. You have a guy who just wants to do the dirty work and rebound. There's an article out there where he said that if given the opportunity, he would easily be a top 10 rebounder. Granted we all want people who can shoot at every position. Well maybe we need to take a step back and accept someone who can grab 10 boards and set screens to get our shooters open?

Daniel "The Bea-ist" Theis.
The question was about the Celtics starting PF, not the starting PF of Maccabi Tel Aviv  ;D
Whoever is starting for Tel Aviv is likely better than Amir Johnson was late last year.

I would think Jerebko is going to look for more than we can offer him. He's still young and hasn't made big money in the NBA, not enough to forgo it to play with a contender.
