What about Moe Harkless?  24 years old, good athlete, shot the 3 at 35%.  He is signed for 3 more years at 10 mil per year.

Could trade Bradley/Crowder for Harkless and Napier and save $3 million off the cap.

Just resign JJ and trade Crowder for whatever you can get. People keep talking about he's on a good contract, but you have Hayward, Tatum and Brown who need those minutes. Crowder isn't a true PF so JJ is a better option while giving major minutes to others.

Crowder is going to be a problem with a major cut in minutes.

Trade Bradley and Crowder for Vucevic and play Horford at PF

Not even close to enough to get that deal done. Probably have to give up bk2018 AND Bradley and Crowder AND either Tatum or Brown. I'd probably still do it at that price though. I love Vucevic.
Thats nuts. Butler, George, Chris Paul and Cousins all went for significantly less than that. No way Vucevic costs more than matching salary and a late first rounder in the future. And that's if Ainge decides he is the type of player that fits Stevens system, which I doubt.

Who says Vucevic is even available?  But most guys are available for the right price...

No way am I trading Vucevic for Bradley and Crowder and a late 1st rounder if I'm the opposing GM. . Skilled young big guys are rare commodities in this league. As for Stevens, he started an entire season with Amir Johnson. He would def take Vucevic.

Edit to add: i had Vucevic on my fantasy team 2 years ago, I developed a strong liking to his game through watching him play. He is a lot better player than most realize.
What you are suggesting is nuts. Chris Paul, Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, and Jimmy Butler, all former All-Stars and All-NBA players went for less than you are proposing for a mediocre big man that is a dinosaur in the current NBA. My proposal is much more realistic and just as unlikely to be given to Orlando by Boston.

Kuzminskas and W. Herangomez for Crowder. Both of those guys killed us last year. Kuzminskas is only  6'9" but can stretch the floor like Kelly did last year and Herangomez can rebound and is 6'11" and very mobile.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Derrick Favors is a name I will throw in there.

Had a down year, but still young enough to have room to make a resurgence. At best, he's an athletic 16/8 dude.

You know they have a trade worked out that was contingent on signing Hayward. They wouldn't just go after Hayward and leave such a void in the front court.

Trading Crowder/AB for someone making $12 mil would be enough salary savings to pay Hayward the Max.  Favors, Vucevic, or go get Jamychal Green in a Sign and Trade.

Then turn around and sign Luc Richard Mbah a Moute with the room exception:

IT. Rozier
Brown.  Smart
Hayward. Tatum
Green. LRMM
Horford. Zizic.

Green makes a lot of sesne. It's been reported that MEM wants to move on and his agent said they have 2 S&T offers on the table right now. Maybe they do Bradley and Crowder for Green at 3 years 33 mil. Only difference from what you said is they wouldn't need LRMM. They already signed Theis.

Man, that'd be pretty sweet to get Green in a S&T. He'd be a perfect fit at the 4 in that lineup.

FAB MELO IS COMING OUT OF RETIREMENT!!!!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

 ;D

fab melo is dead
So you are saying the Celtics could get him for the minimum?

really poor taste man. he was a human being.

btw  i watched the kid play a lot of times in Maine, and he had some great moments. He blocked 15 shots one game, and had another 14 blocks a few days later. Just some incredible defensive performances. That's how I choose to remember him.

Yes, this franchise has had too many young players die to make a joke out of it...
