Aldridge is wildly overrated. What exactly is he great at?

His .488 eFG% and .512 TS% are both below league average.

He's a bad rebounder and IMO a poor defender (he averaged fewer rebounds per-36 minutes than KO did last year!). And he turns 32 in a couple weeks, so it's only going to get worse. Are we gonna resign this guy for a huge deal at age 33?

And what has he ever won?

There's also the issue that he is rumored to want to leave a very good Spurs team. As one analyst mentioned a few weeks ago, that in itself should be a big red flag.

According to the reports I've read, Aldridge is available because he's unhappy about Leonard getting so much of the ball time a/k/a touches in San Antonio.  I don't see how that sort of situation would improve if he came to Boston with Hayward/IT (assuming Hayward does sign with Boston).

I read they are trying to do a sign & trade to give Hayward the max. I would guess it's Crowder.

And I don't see how Aldridge fits in with what CBS is trying to do. He has become one of the least athletic players in the league.
