CelticsBlog article says Hayward signed for "near the max." Any chance this means he's taken less than the max so the Celtics don't need to give anyone up?

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I noticed that, too. Maybe it's so we can keep Rozier(?) or maybe we are just reading too much into it.

Either way, awesome awesome news - Danny's offseason plan has come to fruition. He deserves a LOT of credit!

I think it means we can shed Rozier but don't have to move AB, crowder, or Smart.

I know news is on hold for the moment, but my understanding was that they'd have room for a max player if they could rid themselves of just a few million $. If Hayward took even a little less than the max, wouldn't that mean they could keep everyone?

I think KO is a forgone conclusion.  Hayward would have to take significantly less if we want to keep KO.  That's not happening.

Fireworks!

Trades to come I'm sure. Jae aint gonna wanna play PF all the time unless Bradley gets traded and Gordo plays the 2.
