They will definitely be in the running with Brooklyn.

Just looking at their roster it is pathetic. They have lost Millsap & Howard. Their BIG 2 is Schroeder & Bazemore.....  wow they may be worse than Brooklyn

Yes, that's what I'm thinking!!!! I be surprise they win 12-15 games unless they can improve their roster

Depends on what bigs they sign.

A healthy Schroder along with Coach Bud might overachieve.

What bigs are left that can help that mess of a roster?

The biggest thing they have going for them is that they are in the East. Those bottom feeding Western Conference teams are going to get eaten alive.

I think Brooklyn and LA will definitely be worse solely because they're relying on younger players to win. You might be able to add Phoenix in there, too, but they still have Bledsoe and Chandler around a bunch of talented youngsters.

I think being in the East will allow Schroeder and some of their other guys to win them more games than someone like LA in the West with tough games virtually every night.

Ersan Ilyasova, Tim Hardaway Jr and Mike Muscala are still cap holds for Atlanta and they could sign them all.

Kings just signed ZBo and Hill, so I think they'll do enough to not be concerns.

The Kings like to make sure they never get that top pick by doing just enough to mess it up. They could've have the #3 pick this year, that turned into #1 but they did a stupid salary dump. ZBo is old (36)and Hill (31) isn't a difference maker, they will still stink...

Atlanta have a great coach and some good balance with veteran role players.

So I don't think they will be that bad.

PG - Schroeder
SG - Bazemore, Hardaway
SF - Taureen Green, Sefolosha
PF - Ilyasova
C - Miles Plumlee, Mike Muscala

There is the basis there for a decent (28-34 win) ball club. Guys who know how to play and who can work well alongside one another. Get a strong backup PG and another PF and that team could even get close to .500.

Ersan Ilyasova, Tim Hardaway Jr and Mike Muscala are still cap holds for Atlanta and they could sign them all.

Oh sorry, I thought those guys were already on the books.

Well assuming they sign them or equivalent level replacements, I'll stick with the above.

Oops, forgot about that dumpster fire in Chicago!
