What's the Plan B?

I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll get Hayward but we have to be realistic and acknowledge the possibility he doesn't come to Boston. He'll make more money in Utah, #2 Living in sunny Miami would be more appealing. So what do you think our plan B will be if he decides not to sign.
 
Also what are we going to do about our frontcourt? No Johnson, No Zeller, Possibly no Olynyk. Outside of Horford, Jerebko and Yabusele (I think) Who's left? I'm not feeling good right now. We need to get some vets. Get in this game. I'm still hurt that Butler is not a Celtic right now.

How about Patrick Patterson on a larger 1 year deal?  Takes him away from TOR and fills a need.

Drying up fast....

Trade possibilities:
R. Anderson (in 3 way allowing Melo to go to Houston)
DeMarre Carrol (allows Toronto to reduce lux tax)

I'm guessing Tatum was the fireworks because that list is the cleanup duty after the show.

You left out Zizic and the German.

ESPN's resident stat guru projects Zizic to be a quality starter down the road based on his Euro-performance. I'd be surprised if he's not a very good backup big at the least.

As to Plan B? Play the kids more. They also have a high probability of a top 5 pick in 2018, if not 2, in a big-laden, strong draft.

I'd add Faried, Melo, Tyson Chandler and Greg Monroe to the trade possibilities. I'd also add Rudy Gay to the FA's section.

I think we can all agree that disappointment will be high if we don't land Hayward.
And, that the other options aren't great.

But, the reality is that, while not a great outcome, the future is still bright for the Cs. We will sign one or two FAs to the types of contracts that Amir had, which will bring in some talent and maintain flexibility. We then see who is available for trades during the season, or again next draft.
