Why isn't anyone talking about the 4 and 5 rotation?

 Celtics current big man rotation:

Al Horford
Ante Zizic
Daniel Theis
...

We currently lost Amir to Philly, Mikey has proven to be what he is - a late 2nd round pick, Kelly Olynk is not the long term solution.

Al Horford is inked for 3 more years, and now we have 2 rookies - Zizic and Theis???

Don't tell me that Crowdah and JB will be the 4....Come on...where's the outrage.

My suggestion is to fork up a few of these picks to PRY a quality 4 from the Western Conference.

Focus now is on Hayward.

After that, after whatever he does, they can address that.

Don't forget too, we have some exceptions to fill holes too, so I'm not super duper worried yet.

Once the Hayward decision is made expect us to immediately address this. If he signs with us, some of Crowder/Rozier/Bradley will be traded to get a frontcourt piece.

If not expect the Celtics to bring back Olynyk on a 1+1 deal

I mean he did win us a playoff game last year...But it is not ideal. The market for frontcourt players this year is small and is already drying up

you forgot Yabu, I actually kinda like this being thin, because you now HAVE to throw Zizic and Yabu into the fire early so they can grow

I've been screaming it all off season Hell all regular season to for that matter lol. Any decent big man has been signed so C's will be forced into a trade if they can manage to do that. Galo is not the answer, he may provide some scoring for the 55 games he plays but the team needs rebounding in the worse way. Is Zizic going to play more than 15 mpg as a rookie?

I'm fine with KO on a 1+1 but still need more than that.

Ainge is taking this one piece at a time. The downside is the market is drying up. He better get Hayward.

Settling for Olynyk would be a failure. He doesn't help them up front defensively and rebounding. You can't have 14 guys sitting on the perimeter shooting 3s. At their worst last year, they would fall into that trap. At their best they fast breaked and passed for the best shot.

Does Stevens even want bigs? If that's the case, it could be their Achilles heel--rebounding and paint protection. Hayward or Gallinari would improve their scoring.

We have to clear cap space to sign Hayward to begin with, and I would be willing to bet that a big who makes less than Crowder or Bradley is part of that process. Additionally, there are multiple vet bigs out there who will sign for the room exception.

On the trade front, as posted elsewhere, my official prediction is Crowder for Juan Hernangomez from Denver.  I'm also hopeful we'll sign Zaza Pachulia.  That part of the roster will fill out quickly once we have Hayward.  (If we don't get him, we'll certainly see the return of Olynyk, and also probably a big with the room exception.)
