If Hayward doesn't come here, we're doomed. All that waiting for nothing. Everyone will talk about the Celtics all year long and their failed offseason.

Get off the ledge.

Doomed to have the 4th best team in the league while probably adding 5 top 5 lotto picks in 3 years.  Sounds terrible.
Impossible.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Because Hayward is some sort of world beater?

No, Koz, it's really because some individuals are kvetchers.  It's what they know, and it's what they do...

I guess it's not. Celtics could theoretically draft 1-2-3 next year. They own all their first rounders.

It's possible, just ridiculously unlikely.

Not sure what you mean by that. We own Brooklyn's and LAL's pick - where will the third one come from?

Back to what nebist said, it's possible that we get 4 (not 5) top 5 picks in 4 (not 3) years; 2016 (Brown), 2017 (Tatum) - and then 2 more top picks in 2018 and 2019.

Remember - if LAL's pick conveys next year then we lose the 'best of Philly and Sacramento' deal. The other picks we have (Memphis and LAC) are protected.

Cs own pick is the other one.  Obviously that one is unlikely to produce a top 5 pick.  I think the Cs are in great shape moving forward and I'm glad Danny hasn't traded the future for guys who won't move the needle (enough) or won't remain with the organization.

Not sure how adding the third pick in the draft, bringing a promising rookie big into the NBA.(not talking about Theis), and adding a potential top 5 draft pick in 2018 or 19 could be considered a failed off-season.  And I doubt Danny's done.

all this pessimism about Johnson? People remember him being absolutely horrible last year and being benched in the playoffs right?

4th best?

There's a better chance Boston has the 4th best team in the East next year. Have you seen the rosters at the top of the West? James Harden is the 2nd best guard on his own team.

Amir Johnson is irrelevant. I don't know if it is injuries or what but he couldn't look more cooked. His nickname is barbero in some circles

Zack Randolph is still yet to be signed, he would be a good addition to this team with Amir leaving.
