If Hayward doesn't come here, we're doomed. All that waiting for nothing. Everyone will talk about the Celtics all year long and their failed offseason.
Because Hayward is some sort of world beater?

Doomed to have the 4th best team in the league while probably adding 5 top 5 lotto picks in 3 years.  Sounds terrible.

Happy for Amir getting the money. Sad for the Celts just waiting and waiting and waiting for the Durant Hayward decision. By the time we find out there will be nobody left.

If Amir is your (holy crap this off season is slipping away) sign, then we had different expectations.

Absolutely NOT. You should know what I am saying. If I was upset with losing Amir I would have said I am glad he got his money. C'mon man you are better than that.

What I am saying is we have to wait (being held hostage) for this ONE signing and if it doesn't happen most everything is already gone.

Fair enough Hodgy, fair enough. I get that our collective frustration is boiling over into every thread (I mean Amir.....lol,) but we need to be patient. Outside of Griffin and Hayward, this FA class was nothing to us. Griffin never made it to "in play" and Hayward hasn't even met with us yet.

And as for George, if Pritchard viewed an overpaid Oladipo as better than Crowder + another player + a few late picks......thats on Pritchard not the Celtics.

Everybody needs to relax haha.

You make a valid point but I think you could argue that they are NOT the 4th best team in the league. We could have easily lost to Chicago. Washington was very tough and could have gone either way and I don't see us right now as better than GSW, San Antonio, Cleveland, Houston (??) or possibly Washington. I mean we just lost Amir (just kidding) and will probably lose Kelly.

Sign and trade the sixers were sending okafor to Boston. Not sure why the Celtics passed on This
How about because Okafor sucks? Not to mention that we need the cap space to go after Hayward.

Anyway, I'm glad the C's parted ways with Amir. Couldn't stand to see him in our starting 5 for a third succesive season.

I can guarantee that, had we lost to Chicago or Washington, you would not be saying "well it could have gone either way". Moral victories are meaningless.
I'm bitter.

Philly really needs another big? I mean they can Amir but it sounds like a weird signing to me.

They needed a vet big who doesn't need to play that much.  Their other bigs are Embiid, Okafor, Holmes, Saric and Simmons.

Good for him.

I wouldn't have given him half that to stay.

Thanks for the two years here. Good luck.

Pretty much my feelings. Did a job for a while but not part of the future. Thanks and good luck.
