Since we missed out on all the all-star wings(George and Butler), I would rather just re-sign AB and IT, if both are healthy at the end of next season.

AB is clearly a great defender, especially against PG's. Along with Smart, they allow IT to been hidden.

AB is also one of our best shooters. We are adding to that shooting with Tatum, who Danny said Tatum was the best shooter he has ever worked out. I don't want to lose any shooting off this team. Especially in AB's case where he can defend too.

I would try to move Crowder, Rosier, and maybe Yabu or a pick for a younger big man.

A re-signed  AB also gives us Salary to move if we need to make a trade later on.

IT.        Smart
AB.     Jaylen
Hayward.   Tatum
Trade.         The is
Horford.       Zicic

Still have Brk18, Bos 18 , LA/Sac pick all possibly coming next year on rookie contracts, which can help offset the price of resigning AB and IT.

Does this seem like a likely route Danny takes?

Only if it's for a discounted rate.

I don't know if that is Danny's call. Ownership would have to allow that. Those 4 players would take the entire cap, or maybe even go over it a little bit. That would really handcuff the Celtics flexibility.

I think IT is getting the max and AB is getting slightly below it (20m?). And that's pretty much our team moving forward until the rookies blossom (hopefully) and Horford and IT's contracts come off the books.

AB is getting more than 20 mil a year.
