I don't think this was ever discussed - what are the chances Paul Pierce or KG come to tomorrow's meeting?  They could sell Hayward on being a Boston legend.

I voted no. If he comes here, he'll make some playoff runs while the only true big on our roster ages out sooner rather than later (i.e., Horford). Then, he'll find himself surrounded by talent competing for his spot in the rotation (i.e., Tatum and Brown). I don't see how he can be convinced that coming to Boston is a good idea with the core we've assembled and the "assets" we've accrued. At this point, it's almost better to let Hayward walk and accept our fate as a middle of the road playoff team with a couple of young prospects.

I will admit to being slightly more pessimistic than usual, but I'm quite convinced that we're done this offseason.

Done? KO is going to be the big, massive summer signing.

Well, sounds like both IT4 and Big Al are in Boston for the meeting per the Twitterverse.

I think the key here will be CBS. He knows Hayward and what makes him tick the best. Hopefully they have a great plan.

Hoping for some good news tomorrow.

So I'm literally at a movie theatre with friends/siblings about to watch Despicable Me 3, and some guys in front of me are raging at Ainge for not going after Butler hard enough even though he was dealt fairly cheap  :P

They are fine with George not coming since he was a rental, but they are like "now watch Hayward go to Miami and Ainge does nothing.. AGAIN"

It's pretty good entertainment before the movie starts. Now hopefully Hayward doesn't sign elsewhere while I'm watching  :o

I voted no. I never bought into the CBS-Butler hype. I mean, yeah I can see the connection but that was college. He's been in the league for 7 years now. If he has a great relationship with Stevens off the court, I can't see what he does with his NBA career affecting that.

That said, the main reason why I believed we could sign GH before was because there was a bigger plan. Like landing PG or Blake or Butler. We could build a team that would be on-paper favored vs the Cavs and could run with GSW. All that's gone now. I don't know what future or vision DA is gonna sell on Hayward.

If Hayward joins, we'll have a big 3 of IT-Hayward-Horford.  Which mean's we're just a piece away from creating or own big 4.  And there's a chance that Tatum or Brown emerge as the 4th piece even if we don't make a move.  But we might go all in on Porzingis if Hayward signs.  Keep hope alive guys!  Hayward hasn't made a decision yet!

With Rubio in Utah and now Ingles staying, I think Hayward stays with the Jazz and we stay with our youth movement.

The Paul George trade was our big opportunity to convince Hayward and build our contender. We blew it. Our best remaining option is to keep our prospects and picks and build with them.

Now that Ingles is staying in Utah, and if Hayward is fine with Rubio (even with Hill LIKELY leaving)... I'm leaning towards him staying in Utah.

JUST PLEASE, NOT RILEY AND MIAMI...

Nothing was blown.  George is not staying in OKC, and he wasn't staying in Boston.

We dodged a huge bullet IMO.

I just do not see anyone out there after Hayward worth paying. I would just go with your roster and draft picks and develop. Boston is not beating Cleveland with or without Hayward this year...maybe next.

If you are going to spend money..resign IT. It really looks like he is about your only option to have a legit impact player on this team (Superstar). I just with they would use Crowder as the 6th man
