The kid is a good player and would of made this Celtics team better but no way is he a Kevin Garnett type impact. I dont see him being that type of leader either. Garnett always preached Defense first. I dont consider missing out on Paul George Armageddon. The price it would cost to get him along with another free agaent i think would be to much n put us in a hole. Personally, id rather build the team slowly and through the draft. Free agents are fine an all n come with experience but we have the best young coach in the game who can teach these kids how to play the game. 2016= the #3 pick/ Jaylen Brown-SG,SF2017= the #3 pick/ Jayson Tatum-PF2018= 2 picks in the top 5 which could become Michael Porter Jr.SF-PF/Lucka Doncic-SG, DeAndre Ayton C, Mohamad Bamba-PF or C, Miles Bridges-SF, PF, Robert Williams-PF, C, Wendell Carter-PFIf anyone tells me that its better to trade all our picks for a Paul George is a great idea, im gonna say u smoke crack. Two of these guys added to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum is a full starting 4 who in 4 years from now can be lights out the best combination in the NBA that could give us 6 to 7 NBA titles by 2028. And its crazy to think that with all the PG's we took in the past 4 years, that, that might be the only position we dont have a legit player at. Isaiah is gonna get old by the time our top picks hit their prime. Say what you want but Danny Ainge set us up nice for the future. Dont get it twisted, i think PG13 is dope but that dont mean he's worth throwing the future away for. Teams n their fans will envy us. If we play it smart, we can have the best starting 5 for years to comeTP Great postThank you. I think keeping Jaylen Brown, developing Jayson Tatum and keeping both 2018 top 5 picks and drafting them ( weather it be Porter Jr., Doncic, Ayton, Bamba, or Miles Bridges. Im asuming when in their primes (which could take a few years) are gonna add up much better then a 27 year old PG13. Especially when by the time they reach their primes, Cavs and GSW will be on their down fall.
