Hayward & Vucevic.

Plan A, Hayward.

Plan C, Vucevic (trade).

Can Vucevic even play more than 20 mpg against the Cavs?  I think he'd get run off the floor.

Plan C: Daniel Theis.

But it could be worse: Plan D is Ray J. Johnson.

For sure.  But some other team will swoop in at the last minute and offer young players that the other team's owner is irrationally fixated on.

Yep. He will give you 12/11 in 25 minutes easy. Can't sleep won't sleep on a Vucevic/Zizic 5-man tandem. Nobody will want anything to do with those foreign affairs.

That gets a big "meh" from me.

I don't see it.  Vucevic and Horford can't play together.

I would offer Millsap a 3/75 declining deal (28/25/22) with a player option on year 3 as a backup plan.

Hope Hayward comes then maybe bring back the Klynk if we're lucky?

plan C is me escorting jae crowder to logan international to depart boston for good.

Why? He puts in good effort and he's on a cheap contract. Why get rid of him until you have a better option, such as Hayward or an experienced Brown/Tatum? There's currently room to play Crowder, Brown, and Tatum.

Is it because you don't like what he says off the court?

BECAUSE HE SUX AND IS A BRICKLAYER THAT IS WHY! ;)

Stay the course. Develop Tatum and Brown. Probably trade Bradley or Smart. Lose to the Cavs again in the ECF. Hope Lakers pick conveys and Brooklyn stink.

Trade no. 1 pick and no. 3 pick for more picks.

Absolutely not. Keep them picks and draft 2 of the top 5. Porter Jr., Ayton, Bamba, Miles Bridges. Even though they say this 018 draft isnt deep, its deep with bigs IMO

If and when Hayward settles into his palatial ocean estate in South Florida and Gallinari and Millsap sign overpriced long-term contracts, aren't we destined to acquire Carmelo? He's been mentioned by other posters and he and his contract just seem to fit our situation. He would be here for 1 or 2 years and we could probably get him for something like Crowder or Bradley and 1 or 2 of our less important #1s. We would have the cap space meant for Hayward to absorb what we need to.

If Hayward doesn't sign, plan B is to get Jamychal Green.
This guy is a type of player on demand (good 3&D + rebounds well at 6'9), he should get offers from a lot of team right now and yet we haven't heard a rumor or news about any meetings.
I believe he's waiting to see what the Celtics are doing.
