Possibly Motiejunas

No thank you.  I want to stay away from all BJ Armstrong clients.

What's the problem with BJ Armstrong clients?
i believe that salty is a bit peeved over the recent actions by josh jackson and armstrong about ainge's flight to see a workout.

That was the icing on the cake.  There was also the Javale McGee is signing in Boston -- wait, no he's not!  And the way he handled the Motiejunas situation last summer and fall was completely unprofessional.  No thank you.

BJ Armstrong is a real jerk. That is his MO. Just blowing people off. Just 2 days ago he was scheduled to be on NBA Radio with Justin Termine and Eddie Johnson and he blew them off and wouldn't answer the phone when he had agreed to be on the show via telephone. Termine went crazy on this and said he is NEVER welcome on his show again because this is not the first time but the second time he just blew them off and didn't show.

I have been thinking about the same thing.

Figuring a roster of

PG IT, Smart
SG Hayward, Brown
SF George, Tatum, Ojeleye, Nader
PF Horford
C  Zizic

that leaves 5 roster spots and likely signing the other 2nd round picks (Brid and Allen) to 2 way d league contracts.

Players I would target

1. Try to resign Jerebko
2. Resign D Jackson
3. Sign two vet bigs out of this list Amir, Bogut, Sully, Humphries, Bass, Lavoy Allen,Mcroberts, Ezeli (if healthy)
4. Find a true 3rd PG maybe Mo Williams, Calderon, or Phil Pressey

possible lineup

PG IT, Smart, Calderon, Jackson
SG Hayward, Brown
SF George, Tatum, Ojeleye, Nader
PF Horford, Jerebko, Bass
C  Amir, Zizic
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

Need to focus on big man depth. Losing a lot of bodies there.

Maybe try to re-sign the Swedish Larry Bird and go after a solid vet like Bogut (even with the injury history). I think having championship winners on a team helps a lot, especially on a young team like the Cs.

Maybe they revisit Terrence Williams again.

To much to happen this is like an august post when the dust settle. Jared Sullinger comes to mine today though.

Is it bad that...I would actually be fine giving him a veteran minimum contract...

Same with Tony Allen. Bring him in to teach Brown some moves on defense. Also we need a backup PG too.

2. Resign D Jackson

I don't see this as a priority.   I would rather give the Allen kid a chance.

He's under contract already, so I don't see how he can be "re-signed."

Would like to add mirotic with MLE. We are thin at 4 and i'd like to add some scoring guys to the bench.

Mirotic will command more than the $4.2 million we can pay him.

I wonder if someone like Nene would take the veterans minimum, although he may just re-sign with Houston.

I would use the room exception to sign a PF.

Imo, the 2 most realistic options are Patrick Patterson and Luc Mbah a Moute. Unfortunately, Mbah a Moute is a below average rebounder.

How much do you think Willie Reed gets?

I guess Willie Reed would be a realistic option as well. Problem is, according to Danny it's not worth signing a rim protector who kills our spacing.

“When you just add a rebounder, and he hurts your offense, it defeats the purpose. A rebounder will just be sitting on your bench. We have players that are more skilled, and we play around our strengths. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that when we added Al Horford this year — and this is nothing to take away from Isaiah (Thomas) and Avery (Bradley), because they’re fantastic players — but I think that Al’s presence makes those guys all better. We have the floor spread and we have skilled bigs. Al is leading NBA centers in assists this year, and that’s the way that we play. First of all, we know that we don’t have a great rebounding team from a personnel standpoint, but we also don’t play a great rebounding style, in that we rely on our bigs to play out on the perimeter and make plays and make passes and open up the court up for our guards. It is a weakness. There are some guys out there that can rebound OK. I think there was one or two rebounders that I would say that were good rebounders that could help us rebounding. But we’re always trying to evaluate if they’re going to help our team overall.”

I've heard him making this argument multiple times.
