Good that waiters went to heat. If he went to lakers wouldn't have been great for the pick. Not that he's amazing or anything

Durant, Iguodala and Livingston took less money in part so that the Warriors could add Nick Young?

Why not?

40% 3PT shooter last year. Improved defensively. Another 6'7" dude to add to an already lengthy team.

He could easily take Ian Clark's minutes.

My thoughts exactly. Margin of error is small on that pick. One decent player could be the difference between a bottom 4 team and a bottom 7 team.

Yeah, I don't mind the deal for them. They've shown they can manage "knuckleheads" i.e. Javale McGee and Matt Barnes. They probably got solid intel from Luke Walton on his locker room behavior.

Because he's a complete knucklehead that adds nothing but shooting. I'd rather reward my loyal guys.

Casspi is a better player than Nick Young.

Nick Young is fine and all ... but if I am Kevin Durant, I'd rather have my $5 million.

Yea I agree with all of this. Some team that was desperate for scoring maybe it is worth bringing in Young and hope he doesn't act like a moron. For a team that has plenty of scoring at the guard spots and some promising young guys that played roles last year (mccaw, clark) this seems like a waste. Then again, does any of this matter. It is not like this hurts their title odds.

They have both.

Also, we can say the same with JaVale McGee, a complete knucklehead who adds nothing but athleticism, but has flourished with Golden State. Ian Clark is nice and all, but he's undersized. And this moves tells us that they don't think Pat McCaw is ready just yet, otherwise they would have not signed Swaggy P.

Besides, it's a one year deal, if he indeed becomes a knucklehead, they just cut him. This is also  a locker room full of guys who's sole focus is to win. Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala and David West are not the guys you want to be fooling around with.

Nick Young just adds to Golden State's ability to outscore teams which is clearly their goal.

Anyone else surprised at how litle Dion Waiters got for his contract? How do you think it affects our guards (AB, IT, Smart)?

kevin has a 9 figure deal with Nike and a separate 9 figure deal with the team. Something tells me 5 mill isn't worth thinking about

Yeah I don't get the Nick Young signing at ALL for GS.  He is a me me me player that doesn't seem to fit GS's culture.
