I fear this makes both teams better, which royally screws our Celtics. Awful.

Great trade for the Nets.

D'Angelo Russell and a late first for Brook Lopez? Are you kidding me?

Gross overpay by LAL.

Woz says LA is looking to shed Lopez, not keep him

Seriously? That's fantastic for us.

So D'Angelo and Lin are also going to be redundant and the Nets will have a hard time making up the production in the front court.

The Lakers will have a rookie PG, an injury risk who was the best player on the worst team last year and the skinniest player in the NBA Brandon Ingram.

I don't know, I kind of like this for both of our picks.  I think it keeps both teams in the cellar and hurts their flexibility.

This is a fantastic trade for the Nets, but it is also going to lock them in as by far the worst team in the league next year. Looks like another top-4 pick is coming our way.

I don't see it being a great deal for the Nets, they eat the 3 years left on Mosgov's contract and get a borderline starter in Russell that doesn't understand basic defensive concepts, and is a really low IQ player.

Lopez is a free agent and they panicked to get the 27th pick.

Dont like this at all for the Nets
The Nets gave up the 27th pick.  So the Lakers have 27 and 28 now.
You are right

Thats our pick from the Bkn pick swap!

Not if its for Paul George! Doubt Myles Turner and Brook could play together though

I like the move from the Nets. Russell is still only 21 years old and still has potential. They get a prospect for the cost of taking on Mozgov's bad contract for a few years in which they have no chance of contending anyway.

And I don't even mind it because I don't think Russel will immediately impact the Nets' winning.

For the Lakers. Meh. I guess this is a precursor to another deal.

Lakers did this to shed salary for next year and clearly we now know they are taking Ball #2.

Fakers still suck next year even if they add PG this year with Lopez.

Nets may have got worse in the short term.

Heating up baby, I like it!!!

Tank Commander D'Angelo Russell!! Woohoo!

Sure this means they're taking Ball rather than just not thinking much of Russell?

GREAT move for both teams.

Lakers get out of Moz and get good expiring Center.
Nets get a young player their fans can be excited about

Honestly Both teams just got better. No matter what you say, D'lo can put up points. Lopez is a good center and one Ik we could of even used. I'm slightly nervous about our draft picks.

I'm not. The nets just got much worse with this move. Lopez won them 4 or 5 games last season. Something Mozgov or Russell will not do.

This is awesome news. Keep tying up cap space Nets! Just need you one more year!

I like the trade. Clears cap for LA, removes any Lonzo Ball fit questions, and they get a good big and GREAT locker room guy in Lopez.

Nets get a good young prospect still on his rookie deal and Moz is perfectly serviceable - overpaid, but it's the price they paid for Russell.

Paul George deal probably coming aswell..

I think so, although you wonder why Indy would do a deal unless #2 or Ingram is on the table.

The Lakers dump the #2 pick from three years ago and pick a late 1st round pick. I see this as a win for the Nets. They get a young point guard that can score and Lopez wasn't going to resign anyway. I'm not sure the Nets are better this year but it's an eye to the future. Magic is cleaning up the mess he was left with. Clearing out all the junk. 3 1st round picks for the Lakers this year is a step in the right direction. I guess a good trade for both teams.
