Only thing off the table should be IT, Brown and the 2018 Nets pick

Send them #3 or pick Jackson for them, Lakers/kings pick and one guard not named IT...Rozier, Smart or Bradley

I agree with this.  Although I would also offer up Crowder.

There's no proof that were in talks with anyone

Proof? Unless you're tapping phones, what proof are you ever going to have?
A local New York paper mentioned the Celtics and cited sources.

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/phil-jackson-won-rule-trading-knicks-kristaps-porzingis-article-1.3262522?utm_content=bufferd6654&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=AGrautski+Twitter

Not exactly proof, but if you want more than that you probably should get out of the trade rumor game.
Apparently the Knicks wanted Devin Booker and the 4th pick for Porzingis and were turned down.

Based on that asking price I wonder what the Knicks were asking for from Boston.

Not surprisingly. Where'd you see that?

Bradley
#3
Boston 2018 or/and LAC pick

I wonder if given what they wanted from Phoenix we could get it done with: Smart + Crowder + LAL 2018/SAC 2019 + LAC/MEM 2019.   That way we keep the guy we liked this year and drop two players who are probably not in our long term future.  We'll still be able to add Hayward  ;D
But if it took giving up the 3 this year I'd do it but no other lotto picks.   Smart + Crowder + #3 + LAC/MEM 2019.

I wonder if the Cavs would offer Love, Thompson, and Felder for Porzingis, Anthony, and Noah.

Serious question: You usually seem more interested in proposing trades for other teams and not the Celtics. Why is that?

Lakers and Pacers engaged in talks for Paul George. Would the Lakers give the Pacers the #2 pick?

I could see the Pacers with the second pick taking Jackson

Magic would get fired if he did that trade.

Lakers Pacers...D Russell and #28 to Indy for George..

If this is the deal and it goes down...I have no doubt that the Lakers take Ball at 2 and Boston takes Jackson at 3

I thought you did not like Jackson?

https://www.fanragsports.com/news/report-knicks-least-consider-trading-kristaps-porzingis/

Reports out now that both New York AND Chicago really covet Josh Jackson. So we certainly have the coveted pieces needed for a big trade st the draft.

With as many rumors as there are out right now, we should probably have a single thread dedicated to them.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I don't. I prefer Tatum. But I think a lot of teams want Jackson making his value to Boston go up. He would be a good chip to have if they do find a deal. I think Ainge prolly sees that also.

Why not? Dirk won a ring, no? That is his upside comp.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I'd be pretty excited if the C's could get Porzingis for #3, Crowder, and a future first (either Boston's 2018, the Clipper's pick, or the Memphis pick). Then go as hard after Hayward as possible.

IT, Avery, Hayward, Horford, Porzingis starting with Smart, Jaylen, and Zizic as the major rotation guys. That's a good looking lineup and we still have Brooklyn's pick and LA's pick next summer.

I'm dubious the Knicks are actually serious about trading Porzingis but who knows with that organization.

I've been studying this deal and I think it's simply ridiculous. We already have this guy, why trade for him? Just pay Olynyk and we're all set. Their stats are basically the same...look below:

KO scores less than KP and has a lower %
KO can't rebound anywhere near as well as KP
KO doesn't get as many minutes as KP which is just unfair
KO didn't attempt as many threes as KP which is cuz he's screwed out of minutes
KO attacks and successfully injures more NBA starters than KP
KO has a hair bun vs KP's Slavic crewcut which is way to 50's
KO's arms are shorter which means they don't flop around as much as KP's
KO commits fewer fouls than that bully KP

In all seriousness I know that KP is a top player. I am also committed enough to have actually watched an hour of Nix games just for review. Good Lord have mercy, the new York Knicks s*&k.

I have resorted to humor this week. The field of discussion has flopped here at CB (when the site isn't down) about 180 degrees every 24 hours and I don't know what to do. Ainge has absolutely every player and draft pick for the next three years in play. It's like one of those Batman movies and every NBA player you can think of might be in a deal...to play here.

"Mwoooohahaha! I haff all da dwaft pix! All da deals must go trew me!"
