The best way to defend the perimeter in the new NBA is to get taller on the wing while keeping your speed.  Taller to challenge all those three point bombs.  The new Celtics will be made up of taller wing players.  Jaylen Brown is the first step in that direction. Isaac will be the next.  This will be plan b.

Trade down again with Sacramento and pick up Isaac at 5.  Getting 5 and Skal for the 3 pick.

Plan A:  Trade for George with some lower picks and a starter.  A rental is not worth high picks.  Take the chance that you can re-sign him. Trader Danny is a gambling man.

Sign Hayward in offseason or Griffin

Would I trade the three pick for Butler?  In a heartbeat.  It seems like that was what Chicago offerred Philly for the three pick.  I can't see that they will charge much more than that after showing their hand to Philly.  Chicago needs to get on with their rebuild and trade Butler before free agency starts so Wade will exercise is player option and leave.

So ideally we end up with Butler, Hayward and George and fill in around them.

If you haven't see the highlight reel for the newest Celtic Dan Theis - check it out.  He is going to be a fan favorite.

Plan C: a combination of the two above plans replacing Butler with Isaac if you can't come to terms with Chicago.

I'm having a hard time believing that fans will have a chance to see many of his games next season, given the time difference.
