I think the Lakers acting as though they might not take Ball forced Danny's hand..

The Sixers may have been a lot less likely to play ball with us if Ball was still on the board at 3.

A lot of people starting to become really obnoxious. I know we dont like the move, but stop acting like we know what is going to happen.

Anyway to me this indicates either of these 2 things

1) Danny wants time to make another move on draft night
2) There really is no need to wait since he is sure to get either Jackson or Tatum (if he wanted both) at no. 3

I think Philadelphia didnt come away super impressed with Fultz, that's why the return wasn't too great. The reason why they still made the move even if they believe top 1-4 has little separation was they needed a guard (Ball and Fultz) but like Fultz more than Ball and didnt want to take the chance that the Lakers take Fultz.

Danny is waiting to see who the fakers take at 2.
If the fakers take Ball, then Danny will trade down to 5 & 10 from Sac.
If they select Jackson then Danny will take Issac at 3.

I think Issac is the Pick but would be happy with Tatum or Jackson.

Also remember Danny is trying for max salary. So getting Issac at 5 saves money

I hope this isn't the case. Why take a lesser player just to save money ?

No reason to wait? How about making philly sweat a bit that they won't be getting a guard they desperately need. Philly needed this trade more than we did, they needed a PG bad. Wait till draft night and force those protections off those picks.

It never ceases to amaze me this paranoia that we might "miss out" on JJ and have to settle for Lonzo.

Lol

You wait till draft night and we might get a worse offer, since you know, we were the ones who proposed this trade as reported. Stop acting cocky like everything will be going your way and the other team will be the one who would budge every time.

If Ainge thought delaying would have gotten the Sixers to remove the #1 protection he would have done so.  The Sixers clearly weren't desperate for Fultz.  There are other good PG options in this draft and in free agency.  Ainge was looking to trade down as much as the Sixers were looking to trade  up.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the C's want Tatum, and possibly make a deal with Phoenix to take Ball or Jackson, and then flip that to Sacramento to take Fox.

Danny is relentless.
