If danny wants jackson and lakers take him at 2... Then thread subject is not true
Feel sorry for you,to this point i really don't think it's JJ who danny want..
1.no work outs 2.character issues

Scott Souza: #Celtics president Danny Ainge: Josh Jackson is in NYC today, hope to have him in town for workout tomorrow. 1 hour ago

It was an immature incident. He took anger management class... Its all good
If I remember correctly he cancelled a workout because Boston was going to be present. He doesn't seem too keen.
he keeps ditching Boston for no reason. Don't like him

Agent does not want Boston because he feels Jackson will get less playing time

I think danny will either go with Ball or Jackson

He needs to think about curry, porzingis draft picks

Also lets not forget , paul pierce never woked out for the Celts. The last team he wanted to play for..

If the Cavs get George...then just play for the future. Keep getting young players and keep picks.

Sigh I forgot the draft is in brooklyn, ny

He could be going there a few days early...to settle in before the draft

Worst case, I hope Danny does not take things personally and picks the best player for the Celtics

If its jackson or ball...both will grow with the team

So we're supposed to believe that Danny would have taken both Tatum and Jackson at #1 (since the team is still deciding between the two according to Woj)?  That Fultz is no better than #3 on the Celtics draft board?

I don't buy it.

Apparently one of Jackson or Tatum has been their guy all along.

Where is that apparent?

not true on the t-rex arms. jackson has a 6'9.75" wingspan. that fits very well with the average windspan for nba small forwards. not long, not short.

Wasn't there a rumor that Jackson had a top 3 promise? I wouldn't be surprised if LA took him at #2. I know the popular believe is they will take Ball but I've read he had 2 bad workouts with them and all that talk to LA is coming from Ball's side.

Can't wait for this to be over and see who we get.

Pierce not working out for the C's prob has more to do with him not expecting to go anywhere near the 10th pick.

It's like Fultz not working out for the Knicks, but if he fell down to them he would love to play in NY.

Well, no.  The actual quote was:
Quote
We think there’s a really good chance the player we’ll take at 3 is the player we would have taken at 1

Danny knows the player he wanted at 1 could get taken before then, but the thread title cuts that out.

As for Woj saying Danny's still deciding between Jackson and Tatum, I wouldn't put too much stock into it.  He has great sources around the league, but not in the Celtics' front office.  I agree that him having Fultz at 3 is unlikely, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he had Fultz, Jackson, Ball, and Tatum all on the same tier, and hadn't made a final decision on who to take at #1 yet
I'm bitter.

I believe Ainge even though I disagree with trading the pick.  I think Fultz is a sure thing.  I think there is a real gap between him and everyone else, but I doubt Ainge would have traded the pick if those were also his thoughts.  I suspect he believes who he expects to draft at 3 is close to, as good, or even better than Fulz.  Trading the pick wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Bollocks. Were they going to take Jackson or Tatum without working them out? I mean, not that long ago it was the norm to work out top prospects multiple times before making a decision.

Tatum had already worked out for Boston in LA at the time of the trade, so this criticism isn't really warranted for Tatum.

And Jackson is still apparently refusing to work out for Boston, so if Jackson is in fact their guy, they might indeed take him without working him out.
I thought I read that Tatum just worked out for us? I guess I misunderstood that part. It makes more sense this way.

Tatum has now worked out with us twice, which is a strong sign he's the guy.  With Jackson's attitude and bad jump shot and FT% I really hope its not him.  But if it is Tatum then I don't see why he doesn't move to get 5 & 10, since it looks like Phoenix is really high on Isaac, even though they drafted Chris and Bender last year.

PHI - Fultz
LAL - Ball
SAC - Jackson
PHX - Isaac
BOS - Tatum

Unless Danny wants Isaac, then trading to 5 would be too risky.
