What was supposed to be a SIMPLE, BORING few weeks until the draft until we drafted the "transcendental superstar in the making" known as Fultz... has now turned into all this.. 

I mean, just look at the "Latest Forum Topics"... each thread seems to contradict the one right under or above it, and that's for multiple rumors 

I think 80%+ of us here wanted Fultz BADLY (me included), and it seemed the hints were there. Danny taking Fultz to B.Good, Fultz taking the picture in front of the car, all that retweeting by Fultz of him in Celtics gear, etc. etc.

Then the trade happens, and it looks like we got ROBBED (for now - who knows what happens next).

But that's just it? WHAT'S NEXT?

We just have to stay tuned. Giving TP's to all for posting the rumors and posting ideas here. You all are the best lol! Great to have everything "organized" better around here. And the fun banters and hot takes (which I've made a few myself)   

Reality is, we have no clue. Is Hayward/Griffin still in play? Is George/Butler in play and/or worth it? Is Anthony Davis even 0.1% possible? Is it Jackson or Tatum at #3?

In what way did we get robbed?  In a draft reported to have four elite talents at the top with little separation, we're moving from 1 to 3.  In so doing, we're picking up what appears to be another future top-of-the-draft pick. 

It appears that Danny is getting the guy he wants, while picking up another great asset in the process.  Not exactly robbery.

Put it this way:  I've seen Boston fans p---ed, and I've seen Boston fans excited.  I've seen Philly fans p---ed, and I've seen Philly fans excited.  The fact that there is no consensus is a good sign that this is a pretty even trade.

With some protections, yes, BUT now it's just #3 and either 2018 LAL (2-5) OR 2019 SAC Pick. That makes it a little underwhelming to me.

It's been a tough couple of days for Phantom (I read the front page articles/comments, too  )  I am not as opposed to this as others - I actually really like Jackson and am happy Danny didn't just take him with the #1, but I understand the reactions from such hardcore Celtics fans.

Truthfully I like Tatum but wouldn't mind Jackson either.

But that doesn't mean we're getting screwed.  It just means that the rumor mill got it wrong.

I think the shock is not so much from not drafting Fultz but rather not drafting first overall for a city that was suffering a hangover for getting porked twice in the lottery (Duncan, Durant). I think people were pretty stoked to actually get the first overall pick for once after those events. I for one was excited about the possibility of adding Fultz.

All that being said, DA is the GM and does not think like a fan. He clearly thinks there is no real separation between the top 4 prospects. He also operates with a zero Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.s given attitude when it comes to media and fan reaction. I "get" what he did. I just hope it works out for the Celtics. Takes big cajones to do what he did.

And yeah, I have no clue what is next. At this point, I think they make the pick and try to sign someone in free agency and go from there. Not sure we'll see any big trades. Yet.

I could also get behind Tatum, but I think I am just easily convinced
