He looks terrible, if all the reports are to be believed, that he shot like this at his C's workout, that we questioned whether he was a winner, that we worked about the crowded backourt, and that we had him Ball, Jackson, and Tatum on the same tier, then the trade was absolutely a no-brainer. Gets us more assets and gives this bust to Philly

1. I don't think you can judge a player just for a short video.
2. I'm sure Ainge has seen something negative in Fultz we don't (maybe won't) know, and he'd choose another player with the top pick. Hence the trade, to select him, whoever he is, at three.
3. In the process, we get another future asset and save 1'5 million in salary to sign Hayward.

Game film, but even more than game film, I trust Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens. For Fultz, the game film screamed absolutely yes, but the interviews/demeanor say no, the workouts say no, Ainge/Stevens say no, so I can sleep well at night.

I was expecting to see this video.

Been resisting posting it because well, no idea who will be the pick or if we'll actually keep it.  But if say josh Jackson has the coolest tape by far.

True but at least Jackson's game isn't predicated on shooting/scoring, plus Jackson is a fierce competitor, Fultz doesn't exactly scream competitor.

If that's the case, why didn't we wait till draft night to make the trade? What happens if Ainge wants (let's say) Jackson and the Lakers take him at #2?

I can't tell if that was sarcasm.  I'm gonna guess it wasn't.  Anyhow.....how is being  fierce competitor, defensive minded, athletic gonna help us get buckets when IT is double teamed, sitting out, or his hip isn't 100%?  Fultz will get buckets, you'll see

You have to think - if Danny didn't want him, his work out with the Celtics must have been terrible too

2 bad workouts isn't a fluke

I see what you're saying, I guess my point is that if Fultz shoots like that during games, he is not going to be an impact player. Jackson doesn't need a great jumpshot to be an impact player.

Here's my ranking from least trusted to most trusted:

10. RC Buford
9. Danny Ainge
8. Brad Stevens
7. Scal
6. DraftExpress
5. Pelton
4. Simmons
3. YouTube highlight vids
2. Wingspan and jumpability as assessed by Jay Bilas
1. Chad Ford

I would rather see players shoot at game speed in game conditions.   Shooting around like in the video does not fulfill either of these criteria.

If he was so bad at the Sixers workout then maybe they back out of the trade. Then what?
