Let's say the Lakers pick Tatum or Jackson. Does anyone have a preference for Lonzo Ball over either of them. I realize he said he didn't want to work out for the Celtics. But, he basically assumed the Lakers wanted him when he made that statement.

I'm not positive, but he seems to be the second best talent according to many basketball pundits. Unfortunately, there's a lot of knocks on his game, e.g., poor defense, can't shoot (something Danny likes), and not particularly strong. On the other hand, he possibly has transcendent ball handling/passing skills.

Any good arguments for taking Ball over Tatum or Jackson if he's available?

He can shoot. He's got a hitch in his shooting motion which might not translate well to the NBA, but he was probably the most accurate shooter in the top-5.

They'll likely take who the lakers don't pick between Tatum and Jackson. That said...Ball is a player. C's don't need another guard, but he would not be a bad option.

Thanks, didn't realize that, I stand corrected....

It throws up a very interesting proposition for the Kings. I imagine they'd love to move up for Ball. So it could work in our favour for another trade down.
1.Philly take Fultz
2. Lakers take Jackson
3. Kings take Ball
4. Suns take Fox
5. Celtics take Tatum

And we could have the #10 pick to go with it. There are teams that would be very interested in that pick. Quite a few want to trade into the lottery

Like I said, if Ainge can turn the no. 1 pick to no.5, no.10 and the lakers pick, Id probably be pacified.

Hopefully, we'd draft Lonzo. I think he's the second best player in the Draft and the Lavar stuff is totally overblown; he wasn't a problem at UCLA.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

He's the guy who every time he shoots the coach says "ugly shot" then it goes in and the coach is like "nice shot, keep putting that up."

2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

Id do that trade but instead let them keep the #10 pick, throw them Crowder and Rozier or any combo of players and ask for Buddy Hield

Minus his father, I was always a fan of Ball.

Unfortunately his father is a very real problem, just by the fact that he has the attention of the National media on a continual basis. Lavar knows the crazier the statements he makes the more notoriety he receives.

Then we are spared picking Josh Jackson. It would be a huge blessing

The one guy that never comes up is Ball for the C's. Even when asked DA has skirted around him a bit.

I really liked Ball on the most part, quick in the break, passes and finishes well, needs a midrange shot. He has a worse shot than Jackson but gets no hate on it, but he does have huge range with it. I've been a fan, but then his dad opened his moth every minute of the day since the tourney. And the stupid shoe thing.

But I might still take this kid, he'd fit well in the system, would play for a better franchise to boot.

Swap with the Suns at #4, who might have Ball at the top of their board and also have extra picks in the future.

Me too, really like Tatum.  Sun love Fox so in that case Ball could fall further.  Lavar would be p---ed.   8)
