What happens if Lakers take Josh Jackson at #2. Now what? Do you take best player available? Do you trade for Jimmy Butler? Does this move get you over the top of both Cleveland & the Warriors. I don't think so.

Thinking back to when DA made moves to get both KG and Ray Allen, they were great moves but the championship window was only open for 4-5 years with 1 championship and a trip to the finals (which we shouldn't have won). Does trading for Butler and adding Hayward/Griffin give us the same type of short window? His best bet is to take Fultz and continue to develop Smart, Brown, Zizic, Gursheon, Rozier and see what he can get in next year's draft.

Then you pick between Tatum or Ball

I think it would be Ball

But it won't happen...Indication is Lakers will choose Ball

I agree the pick is Ball.  If we are truly targeting Jackson, I'd hope we wait until After the Lakers pick to make the deal.

Early indications is that the deal happens early next week before the draft which would be dumb. Also is I don't think it's wise for the C's to draft a player that they haven't had a chance to talk to or workout. You'd think that would change but Jackson and his agent cancelled the workout. That tells me his agent doesn't want him in Boston where he might not get minutes right away.

It will be interesting for sure. I'm not sold on the fact they will take Ball. Everything I hear and read disagrees with that.

I am interested in Fox or Isaac if Josh Jackson is off the table.

I'm leaning toward ball over fox. fox has a bad jumpshot from anywhere. Balls jumpshot goes in

Isaac or Tatum.

Wouldn't even consider drafting Ball with all the PG's (and ballhandlers) we have on this team.

if this in the case of the recent rumor about trading the pick, I would say that either the trade is with the Lakers or the Celtics are content with Fultz.  This is why it is a win-win for the Celtics.

We keep Fultz in that scenario. I'm sure it's why the deal hasn't gone through yet. We will most likely take Fultz, and then trade him to the Sixers on draft night for Jackson.

Tatum is my choice at #3 even if Jackson is still there

An idea I saw elsewhere is that the trade with philly only takes place if Jackson is there t three.

Celtics keep the first pick, take Fultz

Lakers take ball? Trade happens.

Lakers take Jackson? Celtics keep Fultz.

Simple. ;D

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
