But If Ainge trades the #1 for what is being proposed as #3, 2018 Lakers Pick and 2021 First Rounder (EACH PROTECTED), I'll be booing loudly no matter who they choose. (Unless somehow Fultz drops to #3 which is 98% unlikely).

I don't get why the Celtics can't just draft Fultz, and trade him later... Sigh...

Has anyone started a petition yet?

Meh.  I'm not booing regardless of who is traded or selected.  If Ainge does make the reported trade, I will be very interested to hear his rationale for it however.  Rational discussion > emotional outburst.

If the trade goes down, it will have already started LOL.

They could. Ainge should wait. As the draft hour approaches, offers will go up.

Picks should be unprotected. Otherwise, Danny should say no deal. No deal.

To quell a lot of people's minds, I've read numerous writers who don't think a deal gets done if they insist on protections on the Lakers pick. I can't see Danny making that trade if they put protections on it.

I'd much rather welcome the easy best player in the draft than Jackson.

Yep, and I can't wait to see Fultz become a superstar with Philly...

He absolutely did not say anything of the sort, and there's no specifics on A) the types of protections, or B) which pick the protections would be on. All of that still has to be worked out. Danny isn't making this deal unless it's a complete win from his perspective - that's not the case with protections on that LA pick.

People need to settle down with this. This is far from a guaranteed deal going down. Let's remember, Woj also had Horford staying in Atlanta 5 minutes before signing with us last year... Fultz is just now working out for Philly. There's still a ton that has to happen before any of this is official and set.

how  is it so unlikely that fultz drops to 3?
Ball is a done deal to LA according to all sources.

Jackson is liked by both Boston and Philly.
Philly moves for Jackson

That makes no sense whatsoever. This is all about Fultz for Philly. Why the hell is he working out for Philly right now instead of us then??

Also I haven't seen these sources saying Ball to LA is a done deal.

They had Fultz on for a workout the other day and they were reportedly trying to trade up with us to take him.

Oh. Were you one of those fans booing at brown last year?  ;D
