Posted on another thread rating most recent #1 picks and I put Fultz in the lower third as a prospect. Now, recent #1 picks include Anthony Davis, KAT, John Wall, Derrick Rose, Kyrie, and others.
Now, if Fultz isn't as good as those guys he could still be a perennial all-star and we'd all be very happy. I agree that he definitely has the highest floor and that floor might be something close to Damian Lillard. Of course, I think we'd still be very happy.
But some of the hyperbole surrounding Fultz is prospect is out of control. Being in the bottom third of recent prospects (in my opinion) does not put him in automatic mega star category (or even star).
Bottom line is that while Fultz to me is still clearly the best prospect this year, he is not in the territory of an Anthony Davis, Lebron James, Tim Duncan (etc.) of prospects that simply cannot be traded under any circumstances. He is imminently tradeable if the deal is right. In the end, I trust DA to make that determination.
