While Hayward is capable and willing to create his own shot, he also looked like a more complementary player in Utah.  This doesn't equate on several levels.  Never heard of the author.

Complementary to who?

He was the one that scored those 30 plus points in several of those playoff games ..

Here's the thing. Want to know why Isaiah Thomas had to go hero ball at times, and just chuck up shots early in the shotclock?

Because lets be honest, who else could he really turn to especially late in games?

Bradley, Crowder and Horford are great, but they aren't consistent, lethal scoring threats that will show up every game and when they tend to miss, IT had to try and do it himself. Typically the defense would give him some space early in the shot clock as IT ran the ball up, so IT took his chances.

Now imagine with Hayward coming here, and the offense being more spread out with not one, but two lethal scorers (and possibly three, depending on how Fultz does his rookie year off the bench).

I am surprised more players do not feel this way about IT.

Because he has the ball in his hands at most an average time for a PG, and below average for a PG who's a primary scorer?

George Hill held onto the ball more than IT last year.  And but for a few outliers (of which IT is not one) most starting PG control the ball about the same amount per game, certainly something that should be largely imperceptible.  A player who wanted to have touch the ball a lot would not notice a negative difference here compared to most anywhere else.

The Celtics were second in assists per possession. The ball doesn't stick.
