Could we still sign Hayward, even if not, Boston may be the place for Lebron to beat the Warrior's.

If Fuktz lights the NBA on fire next year, and Melo gives us 18ppg, Thomas returns to form and Jaylen takes a leap.

That's three big time weapons Lebron would be joining. Youth meets veteran leadership.

We probably would have to trade Horford next year to make room but I'm okay with trading him if the King is coming.

Wade could sign for cheap as well if he wanted to come off the bench and play for another ring.

Yes. You also would want to see if wade is open to play for minimum or an exception.

Edit- didn't see your last paragraph until now. Had same thought lol

It really depends. Lebron is known for being a baby. He would threaten the management to bolt on other teams out if they don't meet his demands. Danny is not that bum-kisser to grant anything the Queen wants. Im not sure if Lebron wants to play with unproven young guys like Brown and Fultz.

Now, if he throw away his ego and sign for a less than max deal and have a little faith on both Danny and Wyc, then I'd do it.

Wouldn't have a need for Melo if all of the things you mentioned happened..   Fultz and Brown looking special, IT back to form and then adding an aging but still formidable King...

And not that it matters but if Our own 3 turned that good that fast  (Brown, Fultz and IT, I'd rather Beat the king than to see him in Our Jersey..  Seeing him in Boston Would be like watching KOBE chasing rings on the Celtics.. no thanks.)

The whole point is LeBron's next mission is team Thunder Buddies, similar to what be Miami did. He wants to play with Melo, CP3 and Wade.

The clippers could assemble that but if not we could offer Melo and Wade.

Even without Thomas the team is stacked.

 Fultz
 Brown
 Hayward
 LeBron
 Carmelo

LeBron is the top dog, Hayward the second option, Fultz the third possibly quickly becomes the second option. And can Carmelo is the fourth option. That's a good place to be.

Surely we would attract FA centers that were ring chasing.

Seems like we are acting just like Durant. ''If you can't beat him, join him.'' That's not who Celtics are.
No.1- James is our enemy for years, so what now? We jut realized there's no hell of a chance to beat him, so we gotta call him?? C'mon...

No.2- James is also a coach and GM so we would have to fire Brad and his staff, together with Danny Ainge. Excellent!

KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich

You think so? When it's about James? I just described above what it means to call James to come. It means to join him and his circus. Forget the others. They would be also joining his Excellency!

If it doesn't cost us any of the 16-17-18 Brooklyn picks or Smart, why not upgrading the team so much while not sacrifizing our future?

That's not possible. Wiggins would have remained a Cav otherwise.

People think I am full of it when I say this but if we got Lebron in the next year or two I would stop following the celtics and posting here. He is a great player but I just can't stand him. I can't stand his super fans. I can't stand windhorst. I can't stand his whining and fragile ego. Having to see that all 82 games a year and everything that goes along with it. I just couldn't do it. He is the only guy that rubs me the wrong way that much. Didn't mind Peyton manning, didn't mind jeter, didn't mind mj, Shaq. Heck I mostly found arod amusing. I disliked Kobe for a while but even he became kind of funny in the twilight of his career. But James now? Just can't do it.

I'm with you. I respect him as a dad and his skills on the floor but he's the enemy. And I don't respect Melo at all. I've talked so much junk about him that I'd be forced to not watch or pull for the Celtics for the first time in over 35 years if we had him.
Peace through Tyranny

Exactly! I want to see James defeated by Celtics, not joined.

No.  Don't like either one and I don't think they co-exist very well.  Let the Cavs try to fit Melo in.

I don't want one more championship that much to have a need to create an artificial Celtics team that cannot sustain over the long term.  Much more excited to see our homegrown talent develop.

Anyway, it's not happening.  I'm not a fan of these theoretical scenarios/polls that will never come to pass.
