Bradley, Smart, Crowder must be moved to make room. Bradley is my ride or die guy. Just a true Celtic, Has improved every year. Do great Christmas two way player that's still improving.

Smart is Young, tough as nails, shouldn't break the bank. A glue guy that can guard point guards, Paul milsap and Kristaps.

Crowder is on a great contract and has hit his peak. I'd love to keep him but if he's gonna cause any chemistry problems losing his starting spot than he must go.

 Thoughts on this.

If we get Hayward, Crowder is not important enough to have to move.  He'll take his role off the bench and like it.  Simple as that.

I don't see Crowder and Hayward co-existing.  Danny will move him and he will not wait for problems or moaning.  He will do what's best for the team.

Crowder is the least likely to be moved, because we're heading toward a financial cliff if we get rid of our good contracts while paying IT, AB, and Smart market value.

I think if Hayward and Fultz join IT, Bradley, Smart, Brown, Rozier, Crowder - that's 8 players for 3 positions.  With Butler sitting out there making $17 mil a year, I would be all over trying to move Bradley, Crowder, Rozier.

Crowders ability to play the 4, play good defense and be on a bargain deal for the next 3 years make him really ideal to keep.

That said, if we are picking between Hayward and Crowder, thats an easy call. Im taking Gordy even at 30 mil.

Not sure I agree.  What timeframe are you talking about, Roy?  Those guys don't need to re-upped until next off-season.  If Hayward comes here, Crowder and with one or more of those guys could be moved this off-season, probably for a big man.  Team has too many wings/swings with Hayward.

Not if he voices displeasure over Hayward. You can see it coming. He hates Hayward. He's gonna be irate once it happens.

Hopefully we can extend Smart on a team friendly extension, he can be the new Crowder.

Anybody have a good idea for a trade destination for Crowder. Phil Jackson loves him, who else?

Would be great to get a Back up Center or Vet PF for him.

Yes, but the fact that he's a bit of a head case and may or may not be happy coming off the bench for the conceivable future makes him somewhat of a question mark.

A motivated Smart is more valuable than a disgruntled Crowder. Also, Crowder is may be easier to sell to other teams.

Next off-season. We can't pay Horford a max, Hayward a max, IT a max, Bradley a near-max, and Smart $15+ million.

What we can do is afford to pay Jae a sub-MLE deal.

He'll get over it. Getting a replacement for Jae that will take multiple years at sub-MLE money isn't going to happen.

yeah. I agree with you.

I think Smart, being restricted and horrible and making the round bouncy thing go inside the basket, could be retained pretty cheaply.

And as you say, Crowder's contract and the value it brings could allow us to get a decent big man in here.

If you sign Hayward one of Smart-Bradley-Thomas-Crowder must go.

Which one Ainge picks is the biggest question of the offseason for me.

Why on earth would we trade Crowder. He's better than Bradley and Smart, and he's the only one of our rotation guards/wings who isn't up for a massive new contract. Besides, there's no reason that Hayward can't start at the 2 or Crowder can't start at the 4.
