I in no way think this would ever happen, but it is the dead time so it is fun to think about these things.

Westbrook is clearly the best player in the trade, but the Thunder might do this to get the 2nd and 3rd best players, who are collectively cheaper and who are signed longer than Russ and in the case of Irving a fair amount younger than Russ.  The Cavs get the best player in the trade and an interior defender they lack.  I suspect they would move Thompson as I don't think he and Adams would work well together, maybe they revisit a Carmelo for Thompson/Smith type trade.
