We're approaching a week countdown to the draft. What will happen with our Celtics?

I can see us moving our second rounders for a potential late first maybe, but other than that I'm really not sure what could happen. As long as we don't move Fultz (unless we're getting AD or Kawhi back) then I'm happy.

I think EVERYONE on this roster stays put at least for now (even during the draft).

MAYBE Rozier is dealt? But yeah honestly if anything it's probably a small move to add future picks OR trading multiple 2nds to move up.

I think all of Smart/Bradley/IT stay.

Don't see a trade unless you count selling their last two picks in the second round as trades. That I could see happening. Nothing else.

Only if they already know Hayward's decision.  I doubt they will, but they very well might.

We have three second round picks, so I'd be willing to bet we make a trade.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Yeah, I can easily see Ainge deciding to trade a couple of those picks for future assets.

But there is very little chance we trade the #1 pick.  I just don't see that happening.

Everyone who matters, I suppose.  However, many bench guys are not likely to be here next season -- Green, Zeller, Amir.

“Something can happen that nobody foresees,” says Danny Ainge. From boston.com article on GSW not forcing them to punt.

He is communicating with us LOL...

I can't see any moves until after/during free agency. Our margin for max cap space is so small that we can't afford to really make any semi-significant move at the draft, and because getting a max free agent isn't a for sure thing, Danny isn't going to just move someone like AB for future picks if he doesn't have to.

Probably talking about Len Bias....Weird thing is, it was Danny who drove Bias to the Airport the night before he died.

I think Ainge knows he has a roster construction problem in the backcourt and that the draft is the best time to help clear up that issue while cutting salary, so I do think he makes a move.  Not sure what that move is, but I am guessing it will be fairly major (not just selling off 2nd rounders).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick
