I've grown so tired of the talking  heads that I haven't even been watching any of the pre-game, post-game or halftime shows these playoffs, but I'm psyched that Pierce seems to be doing so well at the job.

Does anyone who's been watching agree with the opinion that the Truth has been fantastic as an analyst?

His getting more comfortable every time out. I think he does a good job.

i think he has been great when I have seen him doing pregame/post game also on the jump but I also realize my enormous bias so honestly I have no clue how an impartial fan would view him but he understands today's game which is always nice to have on the set.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Yeah, the bias is alive and well, but he at least seems to holding his own.

I will say that I was not as impressed with Tony Allen, who seems like a nice guy, but wasn't quite as articulate when I saw him. I realize that the vast majority of us like Pierce more than Allen from a Celtics lore standpoint, so maybe that comparison doesn't hold water.

Trips over his words a little more than one would like but he's been surprisingly good.  He may have a future in tv.  Vince Carter has also been okay.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I dont agree with him that Durant is better than Lebron but he's been good overall.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I said after his comments about Durant following Game 2 of this series that Pierce is already better than Shaq, Barkley, Jalen Rose and Chauncey Billups. I'd put him along with Kenny Smith as the two best studio analysts currently. Pierce knows the game, is well-spoken and isn't obnoxious. Other than Kenny Smith, none of those other guys mentioned can claim all three traits.
