I noticed the last like of the pic is probably Joe Ingles wife. Joe is a free agent as far as I know and is a close friend of Gordon's so maybe both will be coming to Boston?

That would be awesome. Freaking love Joe Ingles.

But he is a RFA, and way out of our price range if we are signing Hayward.

I'd be more excited if the Shamrock had one less leaf on it.

Hey, I just noticed that Celtics Blog logo has 4 leaf clover, but official Celtics logo is only 3 leafs. Is that a trademark issue, an oversight, or intended?

The Celtics don't need luck

Put yourself in Her shoes.

You are married to an NBA-Allstar and he's about to get the biggest contract of his life.

You would, 100% know about the Boston Celtics, probably even know their color/mascot/logo. You would be extremely aware of the situation.

If you were part of Gordon's family... even his extended family (uncles/cousins), you would certainly be his biggest fan, and you would be very aware about Brad Stevens/Celtics/Pending Free Agency.

There is zero doubt in my mind that this was an accident.

In fact, you would have to be extremely naive to believe this was an accident in my opinion.

I get the excitement. I share the excitement: even wildly rich people dress their kids inthe same baby clothes more than once!

I do worry about the mix of rabid Celtics fans and Hayward's family. It only takes a couple of meathead comments to turn somebody off.

The flip is also true.

Some vitriol from Jazz fans could push the Haywards closer to Boston.

In all sincerity, despite my wanting any edge in getting him here, I don't want it that way. Spouses, especially young moms shouldn't have to deal with that stuff, but it happens.

Twitter giveth and Twitter taketh away.

It's kind of bonkers how one little picture can start such a speculation firestorm.

Now, if that picture had been accompanied by an IT4 tweet with "bug eyes," we'd really have something to talk about.

Mike
Pure pandemonium would ensue.

looking at just the photo, I see it as a coincidence blown out of proportion.

But, the emojis can be interpreted in a way that can make it seem like a subtle reference to something more.

I'd go with coincidence, I think. Gordon telling her (or she herself decided) to take it down makes me think that.

A lot can change in three weeks, though. I won't go on ironic insta's, I'll believe it when we have reputable reports that he's coming here.

No doubt Gordon was p---ed. Her letting the cat out of the bag could lead to the league blocking his signing.

Disturbing news I just saw from Miami Herald....

Gordon Hayward reportedly "has interest" in signing with the Heat as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

To be clear, Utah remains the favorites to re-sign Hayward this offseason, but at the very least, he'll likely take meetings with Pat Riley in Miami and Danny Ainge in Boston. The Jazz will be able to offer Hayward a five-year, max deal worth somewhere in the ballpark of $179 million, whereas an opposing team will only be able to grant him a four-year deal worth roughly $132 million; so he'd be leaving a hefty chunk of change on the table if he decides to leave Utah.

This is clear back-channeling. Easily deniable.
