The Kings are really stupid. The Fultz and Buddy Girls backcourt could be special. The Celtics could be receiving picks until 2023.

This is the only type of offer I'm interested in, anything less I hang up the phone.

If the Celtics could get Tatum and Markkanen it's a home run, however Markkanen is probably not there at #10.

So now your looking at Zach Collin's, Dennis Smith JR, Monk, or my sleeper TJ Leaf.

 Horford W.C.S. Zizic
 Markkanen Yabu Skal
 Crowder Tatum
 Bradley Brown
 Thomas Smart Rozier

At least we would have NBA size

I mean that offer is too unbelievably out of control to ever pass up.  You have to take it.

I think IF we are even considering dealing the pick, it will be contingent on specific guys being available at both 5 and 10.

Maybe is my answer.  Who the heck knows what five first round picks in the future would be worth.  Maybe almost nothing (see Winslow).  So looking at 10 and 5, that surely isn't enough.  And WCS and Skal?  Okay players I guess.

The amount of picks we have already is overwhelming - moving that for 2 picks in the lottery, two players and three future picks is an absolute nightmare to try and manage. We would run out of roster space.

Now is not the time to further prolong a legit shot at contending. What I mean by that is that it's unlikely that any of those future picks net us a player on Fultz's level, AND we'd be waiting even more years before we even got them.
No from me.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I don't want that many picks and WCS is a dud.

We do not have a legit shot at contending. We are miles behind Cleveland (never mind Golden State).

Right. Another reason to consider this offer.

They're not offering that, so it's irrelevant.

Just be thrilled we're getting a player of Fultz's caliber.

If we get #5 & #10 and are able to sign Hayward, you take that and change the phone number.

Take Tatum and Markkanen and be happy. Keep the Nets 2018 pick and you have 4 top 10 players for the next 10 years....loaded. Hayward becomes the leader.

Hayward
Brown
Tatum
Markkanen
Porter or Bamba

Keep in mind this isn't a draft with Shaq, LeBron or KD so to get 2 top 10 picks from a deep draft is good.

I can't help but wonder if Philly fans were in such a hurry to trade Simmons before they drafted him. Or if Minnesota fans were eager to trade Towns before they picked him. Or Washington fans with Wall. Or Cavs fans with Kyrie.

Is this a Celticsblog thing to finally, nab a #1 pick and want to trade it or is it prevalent everywhere? I just can't help but wonder....

3 unprotected Kings picks? Yes please! What does this leave the Kings with? Fultz, and... what, Buddy freaking Hield is their second best player for the foreseeable future? That squad is going to make the Nets look like a superteam. This is pretty much #1 for four top 5 or better picks, plus #10 WCS and Skal. This is the type of trade that could turn the Celtics into a decade-long dynasty.

Straight up 1 for 5 & 10 is laughable. Any GM who would even suggest taking that trade should be fired.
