I'm speaking it into existence. The question is how do we get him. We have to wait for him to become a disgruntled star that's tired of losing (like KG was.) thankfully the leagues most hated player is his newest teammate. Less touches and rebounds available for Davis, more losing. How many more seasons will Davis put up with? He's been in the league for a while now.

The team front office can often doom some of the best players in the league. Davis deserves better!

Anthony to the Celtics like the KG trade? maybe if the Nets pick next year is #5, we can trade that for AD if the Pelicans want to hit nuclear lol, then we can package AB + others for another star (Ray Allen style)

That 4th year is a player option.  Everyone should be rooting for Holiday to leave in free agency and NOP to suck next season.  Then Cousins leaves in free agency.  If that doesn't get AD to demand a trade, you'll know he's going to stay with NOP for the designated vet.  If he does demand a trade, NOP is going to have to do it.  They can't afford to wait until he's a 1 year rental.

Just cannot see NO trading AD.  Remember MN traded KG when he was past his prime with his best days behind him.

KG was still arguably the best PF in the league when he was traded, plus he was barely worse than when he won his MVP. He was definitely past his prime, but he was still an absolute beast.

All joking aside, if we sign Hayward on a 3+1 deal this summer (final year player option), we may have around 80 million in cap space removed from our books in 2020 (Hayward-Horford-Crowder). That's more than enough cap space to go after a max free agent in 2020.
