I keep AB and look for a trade that moves IT
There simply aren’t any realistic IT trades out there so get that out of your head.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Bradley, Mickey, Jackson, Boston '18 first for
Šarić, Holmes, Covington and Lakers '18 first

We have cleared enough $ to sign Gordon Hayward
We take Markelle Fultz with first pick
We get cheap young rim protector in Holmes and cheap solid player in Covington
We get young all-around player in Šarić...who could help alot his countryman Žižić in transition to NBA

After trade we have:

Thomas / Fultz / Rozier
Brown / Smart / Fultz / 37.pick
Hayward / Crowder / Brown / Nader
Šarić / Crowder / Covington / Yabusele
Horford / Žižić / Holmes

We get much more size (Fultz 6-5, Hayward 6-7, Šarić and Holmes 6-10, Žižić 6-11, Covington 6-9, Nader 6-8 and Yabusele very wide 6-8). We upgrade our starting five and our bench.
Fultz is 19, Žižić 20, Brown 21, Yabusele 22, Šarić, Smart and Rozier 23, Holmes and Nader 24
Even our veterans are young...Hayward 27, Crowder 27, Thomas 28. Horford is 31 but he could age gracefully.
I believe this is the team that could beat Cleveland...and with Curry and Durant injury history you never know...
AND you could add to this team 2 LOTTERY PICK's next year (via Nets and Lakers)...basically you could have a chance to select two of Dončić, PorterJr, Ayton, Bamba and Bridges...and you are set up for 10+ years...
Dinasty!!!

This is a very good trade for Boston. Philly does this if they are desperate for Bradley, who would change the culture over there...
The Philly culture is just fine and it is being set by Coach Brown and Embiid.  They don't need anyone to change the culture.

Why oh why did the Sixers dump Noel for peanuts. He would be the natural ask in this trade. But I would settle for that unprotected 2019 Sacramento pick...  ;D
They may have offered Noel for Bradley at the trade deadline and Ainge could have rejected it.  Noel is a restricted free agent now so they can't trade him.  They'd have to work a sign and trade but Noel may get 20M+ so then we'd have to salary match which would require a lot more than Bradley.

I disagree, it takes a lot to go from Lottery every year to playoff team to contender. The Sixers have zero perimeter defenders and Bradley is a top perimeter defender and can shoot and has been deep into the playoffs. Bradley would be a wonderful pick up for Philly to help bring along their good young talent. It's probably not a good idea to trade within the division...

Bradley should really spend his entire career in Boston, and he deserves way better than Philly. Sending our 3rd best player and 2nd best guard out for some chump in Philly is a good way to not get back to the ECF next year.

I have said it here many times but Avery is a severely underrated player both by Cs fans and across the league.  He had a legit chance to make the All-Star team prior to getting hurt.

If people want him gone for durability issues, fine.  If people want him gone because they'd rather have Jimmy Butler, I can deal with that.

But this idea that we should dump him for a late lottery pick or some Philly scrub like Okafor is insane.

I agree that he's an excellent player and he should be kept but I thought we were getting Šarić, who is a good young big that would replace Kelly on the cheap and that Lakers pick in 2018 that is going to be a lottery pick. That's a good trade. It's not a win now move by the Celtics, it's more of a build for the future move.

I don't disagree. Avery Bradley is my type of player. But he is undersized. He is due a large payday.  There is a salary cap.  And Marcus Smart isn't worth as much in a return.

You can't keep them all.  Drafting Fultz likely means that one if not two of Boston's guards has to go.  Likely its Bradley, because of the contracts.

Seriously. There is a crowd here that is just enamored with young prospects, even if there is no feasible way they are better than an outgoing player.

I think many think our window won't really open until GSW start to decline.

Try again.  Covington is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.  When he was shooting like crap during the 1st part of the season and getting booed mercilessly by Philly fans, Coach Brown didn't even consider benching him because his perimeter defense was so important.  If he agrees to it, they'll do a front loaded extension.

The Sixers went from 10 wins to 28 wins with Embiid only playing 31 games and Simmons playing none.  The only goal Coach Brown set for them was top 15 defense.  They ended up ranked 19th even though Embiid only played 31 games and Okafor ended up getting a lot of minutes after Noel was traded.  In January, they were only 4 games out of 8th and talking playoffs.  They even continued the playoff talk for a bit after Embiid got injured until reality set in.  If Embiid plays 60+ games, they've got a good shot at the playoffs.  If he doesn't, they don't.  Bradley wouldn't change that equation much.

As for Bradley, he would be a pretty good fit but he's a 1 year rental.  There is a no way he agrees to an extension.  If they really want him, they can wait a year and overpay him in free agency just like they'd have to do if they traded for him.

Man the more I think about this the more sad I get. Because we can't keep all four of our talented guards.

Rozier,Smart,Bradley and IT

It will cost the most next year.  He's crazy good at scoring.   To small to play great D.   The rest of the guys are still young.   Bradley is steady and the best two way player.   Rozier has crazy ability that's still raw.  And Smart is just a gusty player.

To me IT should take a discount and be the best 6th man that ever played for Boston and the NBA.   To bad he wants the brinks truck.

In a perfect team we'd keep them all.   Draft Fultz and trap, press and run all game.   Those 5 split 96 minutes.   Haha.   Shooting threes was the big thing, now we should trend and press all game.

Brown and Jae man the 3.

AL and KO man the 4

Trade Jackson , Mickey and Zeller with a couple draft picks for Ibacka or Green (Memphis) and hope they want to win.  Sign for 12 million with 15 million player and team option the next.

Bring in our draft stashes from last year and pray they are good.
