He wants to keep the core in tact and by taking less than max GS will likely be able to keep both Livingston and Iguodala and may even be able to super max Curry.

Klay is the odd man out. He is a free agent next year and his production have took a hit since Durant came.  Even if Kevin took a discount, Curry must also do the same or release the other players to make a room for Klay.

I hear if the Warriors lose, he's going to opt out and switch to another team that has a better shot at a championship.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

I don't doubt that Klay might be the odd man out after next season, but his prooduction actulally slightly improved this year (miraculously). It was Steph and Draymond that took a bit of a hit on their scoring #s.

His stats this year are practically identical to his stats last year.  His production didn't take a hit at all.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

That's what it takes. Wish we could convince Hayward and IT to do the same.

He's been pretty inefficient in the post season, including game 1 in the finals.

Kevin Durant opting out of Golden State Warriors...to sign with the Golden State Warriors in new non-max money deal. This allows GSW to add more weapons and keep their super-4. There goes any chances of him coming to Boston for those silently hoping lol.
