Did you see Ainge basically threatened to take Ball even though he's not going to workout for the Celtics. "it wouldn't be the first time we drafted someone that didn't workoutfor us"

Maybe he is trying to get something from the Lakers. Or just salty.

Ainge is the master of smoke screens.  Who knows maybe the Lakers will panic and offer us something we want to move up 1 spot.  But honestly there's nothing on the Lakers roster that I even want.

If he drafts Ball, Ainge better hope to find his way out of Boston

Ainge has no incentive to publicly declare who the Celtics will draft four weeks out, so of course he'll keep all names in play.

The reality is that Fultz will be Boston's pick, and would be even if Ball spent two weeks in Boston trying to impress the team.

Maybe the Lakers want to move up to take Fultz.  That makes more sense to me.

They have this dude Brandon Ingram. Magic says he is "untouchable" but who knows if they are just saying that. Ingram had a mediocre rookie year but he was inserted a lot as the starting PG and is about 1 year young for his draft class. He was my favorite prospect for awhile and still is in many ways. Adding Ingram would give us the most dynamic/ longest 1-3 in the league. Huge defensive advantage.
PG- Fultz      6'10'' wingspan  8'6'' standing reach
SG- Jaylen    7'      wingspan   8'8'' standing reach
SF- Ingram   7'3'' wingspan    9'2'' standing reach

If Ball ever came to Boston it would only be to sit on the bench for the next 2 years and then be traded on for another asset.

So yeah, the Celtics aren't really drafting Ball.  Not unless it's a pre-arranged draft day deal, where Celtics pick Ball for the Lakers or another team and then immediately trade him.

Ball only really makes sense for the Lakers or the Suns.  76ers already have Simmons so I doubt they are trying to move up for Ball when they can just sit and take De'Aaron Fox at #3.

I assume this to be a typo.  I also have no idea how in the world the Celtics could walk away with Fultz and Ingram.  It'd be wonderful, for sure, but Magic is right to declare him untouchable.
