What I am doing with Thomas and Horford

I know you will think this is an overreaction but I have said this from the start, Thomas isn't a starting franchise point guard. I know he is obviously hurt and is such an inspiration and perhaps has a heart bigger then Seabiscuit but he is too much of a liability on the defensive end. If I am Ainge I would obviously draft Fultz and continue to start Thomas next season but it is only for Fultz traineeship, Thomas is a great role model and can help grow Fultz as a player and human being. In 2019 I am offering Thomas below the max and if he refuses I am letting him walk and thanking him for his service to the team. It is a shame he isn't locked down for another year as I would have definitely traded him in 2019-20. The same goes for Horford, I hope we are able to land Bamba or Ayton and apply the same trainee type scheme but with Horford I believe his game will not wain that much with age.

The problem with keeping IT and Horford for that long is we'll probably be too good to be drafting impact players, aside from the Nets pick next year maybe.

Fultz needs to learn for a talented mentor, these guys are leaving college as freshman and shouldn't be thrown in the deep end early, Kawhi doesn't become Kawhi if he goes to the 76ers and plays 38 min a game as a rookie, he learned slowly from Duncan, Ginobilli and Parker.

We got Thomas for nothing remember it is a shame if he walks, perhaps at the trade deadline if Fultz has progressed you move him but you aren't getting much in return and Fultz shouldn't be starting Playoffs as a rookie.

That's why we have assets like Crowder, Smart, Bradley, Rozier. Celtics management doesn't want to ever bottom out, it's shameful and loses them money, plus if you move Horford we will lose all free agency credibility when players think they will be traded by Danny as soon as they sign a long term deal.

People forget Bradley is a vet in a 26 year old body (Draymond Green is older then him) and has 6'7 wingspan, he has continually improved every season and keeps the team connected to the days of KG and PP. I love AB but he isn't going to learn how to dribble or create off the dribble at this point. He is what he is. He's a nice player but don't think the C's will pay him what he wants.

Smart and Ball don't work. Need a better shooter next to Ball. Even Brown is a few years away, and Nader can't play PF, not full time.

I have a feeling you don't like Fultz, but I rather have Jackson or Tatum then Ball, and have Brown at the two, and find a pg some wheres. Decent ones are pretty easy to find.

I mean how long before Smart  body slam s Lavar for saying some thing stupid about him?
