I think we should give JR exactly what he is expecting.

He thinks because Lebron played his best Bully Ball game , that the Celtics should stand around and let him waltz to the basket unopposed for another game.  You grab him as he is going to tue basket , make him make his foul shots .  His dunking is a sure two points .  Maybe he ll miss some foul shots .

Celtics play too soft on Lebron .  If you foul him , make him miss, the shot , tie him p, grab his arms , don't give him the clear path .

Smiths comment show they know they Bully balled the Celtics to death and now expect to recieve the same treatment .

You fight fire with fire.

Stop trying to take away Lebron’s shot when he’s on the perimeter. Give it to him.

If you try to play him up tight, he will consistently blow by / spin by/ bull rush past you and get to the hoop, which means he scores anyway and he gets foul call after foul call or he dishes to the open shooter when help comes over on the drive.

Stop it. It doesn’t work.

Play off him. Go under screens. Give him the outside shot. And don’t be so aggressive with help. Stay true on everybody else. Try to take away the driving lane and the passes to others.

If Lebron hits his jump shots, yes, he can still kill you. But make him do it by himself on outside shots.

read this on front page. it is basically what i laid out on CT earlier. make him hit jays to beat us all night long. he will miss shots and will leave game. he will not play 48 minutes. if somehow he begins to be successful driving start hack a bron game. use our end of bench guys to start fouling to keep our top guys out of foul trouble. he is not a great FT shooter at all. make him beat us from outside and at teh FT line.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

What does he expect, that we'll give Lebron the Zaza treatment? I wouldn't mind. He's due for some bad luck.

CAVs play dirty a lot and the refs rarely ever call LeBron for all the fouls he commits.

I would not mind seeing a no layups rule but face it we got the closest thing to Mr. Rogers as there in a basketball coach.   CBS is too nice and honorable to condone such a mindset.

It bugs me that all NBA players are spoiled brats and they all complain to the refs too much (Celtics included) but the degree to which the Cavs were whining to the refs in Game 1, even after they were up by 20 and even when almost all the calls were going their way (Kevin Love got a couple of particularly egregious phantom calls), was astounding.

I would say JR Smith and the rest of the Cavs should quit whining but apparently it's working for them.

I always expect dirty plays and cheap shots from JR Smith. Why would tonight be any different?
