Davis is already signed and the Pelicans would have IT, Fultz and Cousins. IT making All NBA puts him in the same category. Throw in player and picks...not Brown.

Celtics  lineup
Smart
AB
Hayward
Davis
Horford

Our defense would be amazing and we can pay AB. Then you draft a PG in 2018.

You kinda have to do this deal, right?

We lose our current All-Star and possible future superstar, but this is AD we are talking about. I think we would still have a solid chance at Hayward, too, but AB and 'pieces' would be necessary to match salaries and open up max space.

This is why none of us are the GM of an NBA franchise.

Davis is the guy you clean out the asset cupboard for but, health has to be a concern. A healthy Davis with the team we have now might put The Celtics over the cavs.

Pelicans wouldn't do it. Davis is the best player in the deal and then they inherit the same "Can IT and Fultz play together?" dilemma the Celtics are looking at now. On top of that, IT and Cousins would be on a totally different timeline then Fultz.

I just don't see the incentive from the Pelicans to do that deal, especially when they can keep Davis and resign a pretty good PG in Jrue Holliday.

Yea that is a sure fire title contender.

The question is would you trade IT and Crowder plus 1 or 2 future picks for Boogie?
That is what I want to know?

A sign and trade with IT should lineup salary. I wouldn't do both picks, IT and Brown. No way!

is that a joke? If we had offered half of that 3 months ago boogie would be on our team.

Didn't Sacramento already try IT and cousins? Didn't get them very far

Plus I don't think IT wants to play with cousins. I'm almost certain he had input in Danny being strongly against bringing cousins

I don't get the trade.  NOP would either want veteran players to put around Cousins or they would trade Cousins for younger players to put around Davis.  This trade is a little bit of both so not really either.

I don't think they trade Davis but if they were in the market, I think it would start with IT and maybe need to include more of Crowder, Bradley types and less of rookies or picks.  On the other hand, they could reverse course and trade Cousins and in that case be interested in younger players.  i don't see either scenario as very likely.

Not that I'm in favor of the mentioned transaction, but when IT & Cousins were together at SAC, they were (a) both very, very young and (b) the teams around them were absolute crap.

Seriously, the team around them was truly, truly bad.  SAC has been just a terrible, awful, horribly run organization for years.

Right, but we didn't. And that was the Big Fish that got away!
Boogie might have put us over the top this year.
I think he can still be had.....Can't imagine Anthony Davis being dealt.
Now Boogie on the other hand......give the Pelicans something to put in their Jambalaya!
And the Big Crawdaddy might want to play a little postseason ball up in Beantown!

Might as well include Horford and Bradley, too.

NOP would laugh their rears off for a good minute before hanging up the phone.
