sure, but Isaiah was competing against Harden and westbrook.

Id swap Gobert and Davis.

Not sure exactly how this works, but does this make Isaiah eligible for Designated Player Veteran Extension when his contract is up or does he need to make All NBA in the summer leading up to his contract being renewed?

No, he has a) not been in the league long enough, nor b) has not been on the Celtics long enough.  He'd need to have been in the league at least 8 years (he's in year six), and with the Celtics for the prior 5.

Great, thanks, I wasn't sure how this worked.

Also, it's been reported that players who have been traded beyond their rookie deal are ineligible.

That's effectively true, but it's because you need to have been with your current team for so long (I said 5, but it might be six).  Practically speaking, since you're only eligible after being in the league for 8-9 years, and either 5 or 6 years with your current team, this means that almost all players can't have been traded post-rookie deal.  But I think if someone like KJ KcDaniels becomes All-NBA for the Nets 5 years from now, he'd be eligible despite having been traded on his second contract.  (He signed a 1-year deal as a rookie.)
