Boston sends IT and our 2018 (since he could walk)  1st Round and two seconds back to PHX

for

#4 (Draft Jackson on Tatum)  and Brandon Knight?

If I'm Boston, I jump on that. To have a core going forward of Jaylen/Fultz/Jackson would be insane.

Isaiah already proved to be not a good fit in Phoenix once.  Aside from reminding everyone in Phoenix how badly that trade turned out for them, why would they do this?

Knights on a 3 year deal....He might be a waste of 13 million.

Knight, Fultz, Smart, Rozier, Bradley will crowd the back court...  not to mention Jackson (Cutt)

They had the Miami kid too.  GD.    So I think that's why it didn't work.   IT Playing with a strong bigger guard like Bledsoe would be a great fit.

The only reason they might do it is to get an All Star, future fisrt and rid them selves of Knight.  They tried to trade him all year.

I'm not sure we do it....

Phoenix says no. IT is not the point to pair with Booker long term. Plus, they traded us IT 2 years ago, no way they get punked again.

No, Boston says no.

Rather see how Fultz works with IT before moving IT for a lesser PG.

If the Celtics make a big trade using IT, it better be for a star level big.

Why in the world would Boston entertain that?
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Might have to be a 3 team trade, but I'd love to see if happen.

I heard at the deadline that B Knight could be had for cap relief and an early 2nd rounder.

IMO it's important to keep our pick next year in case anything unforeseen happens, especially bc there may be some moving pieces (even from the core) like AB, Crowder, Smart, Amir, zeller, jonas, smart, and etc. Also,   the addition of Fultz, an emergence of Jaylen Brown, new vets, Zizic and Yabu, and possibly a new max FA. Then there are always injuries and in-house issues.

Keep our pick for next year bc there is always the chance something could happen.

Totally missed that it was Knight in the deal.  No way Boston would consider it.

For all the Tatum fans, what do you think of this?

Dudley, Barbosa (non-guaranteed contract) , #4 pick

for

Crowder, Bradley, future pick

We still get Fultz at #1, can get Tatum or Jackson at #4.  Dudley is a career 39.7% shooter from deep.

For Phoenix, they could stand pat and a wing player to play next to Booker. Or they could add two vets and try to speed up the process. McDonough has been on the job 4 years now, he might want to start showing results soon from the rebuild.

Celtics would have IT, Fultz, and hopefully Gordon Hayward 1-3 with Smart, Rozier, Brown, and Tatum all coming off the bench.

Dudley would be a not so stretched 4 off the bench.

If we're trading with Phoenix, I'm much more interested in trying to swap Zeller, Mickey, and a low-end pick for Chandler. He's going to fill a role for us, and doesn't project to be very useful to them.

Or, if we're signing Hayward -- perhaps give them Crowder and ask for a low-end pick instead.

Not that PHX would do it but he's now proved what he can do and after this trade, they would have two point guards, not three like before.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
