Sorry to spoil the KO party, but he got lit up on defense.
Marcus played a better all around game.

+/- is a poor stat in general but it definitely shouldn't be used in a 1 game sample size. It's designed to look at a large data set to pull out anything useful from it.

That said I know what you are saying. KO scored the points but Marcus was elite on D and came up big when it mattered.

Greg Anthony commented at the end of the game about his contribution, saying that although Isaiah is the leader of the team, Smart is the embodiment of being a Celtic. And Brad said "You can throw the percentages at me but you and I know that when it matters he hits the shots"

Really good stuff. Marcus' stellar game and its importance got lost a little in the understandable excitement over Kelly's.

As usual, Marcus was doing the usual variety of important stuff, at the most important times. He doesn't get enough credit for this around here, in my opinion. Brad's comment says it all.

As someone who has argued that Marcus is a seriously flawed player, I have to admit he stepped up in a way only he can.  It was impressive, and necessary. I would also add that Jaylen Brown was great too. Our bench outscored their bench by 48-5.

This is a lovable group. Everyone in the rotation, except perhaps Amir, has made a major contribution in the post-season. Next year, changes with this team will be inevitable, but it will be painful to let any of these guys go.

I agree (KO was great though). Smart just wore their backcourt down defensively throughout the series even though Wall and Beal were fantastic. Also for the most part I thought Smart was solid running that second unit and taking on more ball bandling.

Also shout out to T-Ro for winning his matchup against Jennings. Should give him a lot of confidence going forward.
