He mentioned being beat up but was sort of evasive as to anything specific.Any news?
The playoffs are brutal after a long season made longer with trade deadlines and constant rumors.
There are a few ways to look at first game -that the Cavs may be rested and over confident and come out flat . The Celts although battered are bloodied and ready for war.
I would hate to see all the effort put into the last two series be evaporated by blowouts.

Everybody is beat up at this point.  At least he's not injured.

The Cavs are rested and confident but I agree they could be rusty and come out flat.  The Celts should be pretty sharp.  I think we could steal game one and make the Cavs worry for a couple days.

It's long been their defensive scheme to batter IT up and bully him, meaning the Cavs.   I expect him to get roughed up even more.

Me too. Also, IMO the Cavs will be degrees better than Washington at taking advantage of mismatches/exposing mismatches(IT on defense). IT will be roughed up/working on both ends of the floor in this series

I'm on the fence about how effectively the Cavs can exploit IT on D. On the one hand, the Cavs have some tremendous offensive players. But I feel you can "hide" IT on Iman Shumpert or JR Smith better than you could against Bradley Beal or Otto Porter.

It is obvious to me IT is injured. His speed and quickness have diminished dramatically since the 53 point explosion. At full strength he is able to split defenders easily. Now he can't. Definitely hurt. Not just banged up. Doubt it's his jaw either. Might have a pulled hammy or groin, or sore knee. Something is off.

For sure, Beal/Porter are better shooters than Shumpert/Smith.

Yeah, and no rest before game 1 tomorrow either.

The whole team is tired. Crowder could hardly get back on defense last night. Bradley seemed to be a step or two behind. It was a pretty grueling series against the Wiz and fatigue is going to be a big factor against the Cavs.

The one difference I've noted with IT is he's not drawing the contact and scoring seemingly every time like he has for much of the season. I do think the hits have taken their toll.  He's still getting to the line but as recently as Game 2 he was finishing a lot more often when he got bumped.

Brown, Green ,and Rozier will have step for Celtics to have a close game or win one.
