I want nothing to do with Blake Griffin.

Ditto. Too many injury concerns.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
No. I'd trade IT and I'd roll with
IT
Fultz
Crowder
Griffin
Horford with

Smart+Brown+Rozier off bench.

It would be nice to trade IT and still have IT   :)

Lol fixed it thanks :)
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't think there's enough cap space to sign a major FA and trade for another major player.

They would be smart to sign one major FA and one cheaper big who can rebound and defend. Right now, they have only one big, Horford, who can do that--and that's likely going to prevent them from beating the Cavs more than the presence of another big scorer.

C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

No thanks to Blake.
Keep 17 and 18 BKN picks.
Sign best FA that wants to come to Boston.

Add Fultz/Jackson/Tatum, veteran big man, Zizic, and Yabu to this team. Wait on another BKN pick to turn into a top pick. This team will compete for years.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

Keep picks.

Win now with superior coaching.

Win in future with superior talent.

Tough question. If we can land PG (and assuming he stays, not walks to LA), I think u have to pull the trigger. A lineup of IT/Bradley/PG/Blake/Horford can compete with GSW and CLE in my opinion. And then Smart/Brown/<big> come off the bench.

(I'm assuming it takes BKN 17 + Crowder + Filler to get George)

We do not want Griffin - injury prone and it's getting worse.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

1.  We couldn't sign Griffin (don't have the cap space)
2.  If we could sign Griffin, I wouldn't (he is a walking injury and has questionable attitude)

If we sign Griffin/Hayward, I'd happily trade this year's pick (whatever the position) for George or Butler.  We'll still have another Brooklyn pick left over to potentially pick up a transcendent prospect for the next generation.

Great words from a great man

Honestly, right now... I don't think we need to trade Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.!!!

We're the number 1 seed in the East and we're still building. Our weakest spots are the 3 and 4. I believe in Jaylen's progression as our future 3. If we get #1pick tonight every other team can kiss my ass. Im drafting Fultz and picking up Griffin in off season. 1 through 5 will be stacked and built to compete now and 6 years down the line. Bring in Zizic and we're sitting pretty. Every off season we'll be a threat to poach quality Free agents... no need to gut our roster at all. Let the decisions about who stays and goes be made in training camp
