I'm all in.  I went all in in 2010 also.  I love my Celtics and believe in them.  Goooooo Celtics!!!

It's okay, with your wonderful game threads, you'll easily have more TPs than posts again as assurance  ;D

Of course, let's hope that's not the case and cheer the C's on to victory  ;D

Last time I did this turned into a nightmare - Game 7 2010, you know the one.

No Thanks. Go Celts.

and we choked that game away in the 4th, shoulda won. blew the lead. I blame doc rivers 100%.   That was way worse than losing in 1985. yeah we shoulda repeated in 85 but that was a great lakers team and well magic hit that hook which was a great shot.  we did not fold in 85 like 2010 late.

I never watched that 4th quarter until months later - I was too nervous, just kept up with the score online that horrible day. All we needed was a couple of baskets and a couple of rebounds. Still my most painful Celtics loss of all time, 2nd place belonging to the 1973 Game 7 ECF vs Knicks and the Magic Johnson shot you mentioned, which was actually Game 4, 1987, after we blew a 15-point lead and then McHale fumbles a missed free throw rebound out of bounds to set up Johnson's shot. People don't remember that mishandled rebound. We had the game...... oh, don't get me started ................

I will be picking up my xanex script and a bottle of Crown after work tomorrow - It's sad I know, but it's the only way I can watch these important games any more. After all these years, my nerves are shot. Just don't have the tolerance for pain I once had. Maybe we'll be ok and I won't need too much assistance to get through the game. Be great if the Celts would get a good start tomorrow night.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I bet 1000 TPs but only on the condition that I don't get anything if the Celtics win.

this is not a drill don't pay me. Viva nihilism!

I just wanted to say that the 2010 loss in game 7 still bothers me. Just the way it happened. Should have been #18. Worst feeling after a game I have ever had.

That was the toughest loss I've experienced as a Cs fan (I was just a kid when Bird was in his glory days, so I didn't really have the opportunity to suffer through their losses to the Lakers in the '80s).

The thing that's stuck with me about Game 7 of 2010 was Pau Gasol's up and down that wasn't called, on which he scored a key bucket. Terrible missed call.

As for the team's present situation, I'm surprisingly optimistic. I say "surprisingly" because I am by nature a cynic when it comes to my favorite sports teams. But since I think it's time for this Celtics team to put up or shut up (the black clothing was ridiculous)—and also because I have at times put way too much importance on getting Tommy Points—it's time for me to put up or shut up as well.

So I'm all in.

TP...that Game 4 in 87 was has always been my most heartbreaking loss as well. Magic sucks. Always hated Magic more than anyone. Even more than Lebron. Respect the hell out of both guys but hate them.

4th quarter was rigged. Never bothered rewatching that series or any of the highlights. Maybe I will when we win banner #18 sometime soon.

I'm in for 100 TPs.  Low wager relative to the rest, but credit to those taking the risk.  I'm not much of a gambler, and have made way too many bad jokes to earn these TPs.

Celtics look like the better team at this point in the series, imo.  I watched Game 6 more closely than usual and I expected them to win by the end of the 1st.  I'd be surprised if they don't take Game 7 outside of something wonky happening.

Forcing a Game 7 in the 2nd round was my barometer for success on the season.  I'm happy with their efforts and look forward to this game more than I have in years.  Go Celtics!

Screw it, I'm all-in with the the rest of you whackadoodles.  Potential initiation into a 'broke brother/sisterhood' at worst is fine with me.  Finish the drill, Celtics!

I don't have that many so all in seems the way to go. I would like to put half on the Celtics winning and the other half on a multi bet at 5 to 1. Celtics to win, AB to finish with a +/- over 5 and KO to score over 10 points.
