Smart is looking a little pudgy. I think he would be even more effective out on the perimeter if he started tracking his macro-nutrient breakdown and caloric intake to cut out some of that baby fat.

After reading about what Sully was consuming and what he was saying in regards to diet, I'm convinced that the Celtics nutrition staff has no idea what the they're doing. Danny Ainge, if you are reading this, drop me a note in my DMs. I'll have the whole squad looking like Greek Gods in 1 month or less, especially with the amount of cardio these guys do.

i'm a smart fan and before anybody in public brought this up, i mentioned in conversation to a friend that marcus seemed overweight and  maybe he thought it necessary playing so many positions and for rebounding
even posting up he is rushing his shots and off
i also wondered if that head knock  had a concussive effect and smart wasn't talking

There certainly is a possibility that he is keeping some weight on because he is tasked to play the 3 spot a lot of times, and sometimes, even defend 4s and 5s

For a player of Smart's build, the difference wouldn't be noticeable. He maybe 25lbs overweight for all we know. Either way, Heinsohn seems to be right here. It will be sad to see him go one day. He has a certain way of saying things directly without sounding like a blow-hard.

And I'm trying to pick that technique apart; it's very useful for a teen in HK and I'm desperately trying to learn it

He looks fine to me, as well. I think the way he's built, it makes him look like he's a little overweight but he's just solid.
